This is one of my least-favorite USPS locations of anywhere I've ever lived. The worst thing about it is that it is just out of walking distance, it's a terrible location. There is another location on Main street in Newark, and that's just an all-around better location, but it has shorter hours. Why is this the location with the the long hours? This location always has a long line; sometimes it moves faster than others. The last time I went in here, the woman working the counter was confusing and I had trouble communicating to her what I wanted. She was acting like I couldn't get something I knew I could, and I finally got it, but only after a lot of confusion. Also, part of why my star rating is low, the USPS these days has become really unreliable. I sent something by priority mail recently and it took 3 days to arrive instead of the 1-2 they usually do. I've had normal first-class stuff take WEEKS to arrive, even when shipped over short distances. They've also lost stuff, including my one absentee ballot, causing me to not be able to vote in one election. That's unforgiveable. I think it is intentional. This may sound like a conspiracy theory, but a lot of the problems started after Trump appointed DeJoy, which is unfortunately STILL the head of the USPS. I don't understand how and why he hasn't been ousted yet. I recognize that the employees don't have much control over this stuff so I don't want to blame them, but I have huge problems with the USPS these days. And even with that, this location is subpar, mainly because the location is terribly inaccessible by walking.

No one even tries to answer the phone ever. Employees have given up on trying to be helpful. If you have a letter with signature required being held here good luck as you will likely never see it.

This location takes 2-3 days just to scan my packages in to send out. I dropped a package off on Saturday afternoon and it’s Tuesday morning and STILL no update on shipping. This makes my business look bad. Still says label created, awaiting scan…. My packages are always late…. The lines take forever… this place needs a good manager to come in and make some necessary changes and hire more people with proper training.

Not many employees, long lines, and I got no printing label from the self service machine. And they said they don't have tape to place the labels. What damm postal service doesn't have tape!?

I was told by USPS customer service to pick up my package here because I was supposed to get it 2 days ago. But when I went the lady said that I couldn't pick it up and that I had to wait for them to deliver it. I tried to explain that customer service said that I could pick it up, but she wasn't trying to listen to me. I gave her my address and she just walked away without saying anything. Here has bad customer service, and I wouldn't come here again.

I spoke with the delivery supervisor, Augustina, today to track down a package and get it moving to its destination. She was persistent in tracking it down, explained the reason for the issue/delay, and seemed committed to getting it moving. She mentioned that my postal carrier out of that office found the error and took the initiative to resolve it. I am so appreciative.

Excellent service. Mail always on time here in brookside. Both male and the female carriers who deliver here are amazing and friendly. Very prompt. Thank you.

I dropped 6 packages on Nov. 17th just on the counter like this. But till now, Nov. 28th, no updates, still showing pre-shipment. Does this mean someone stealing packages from the store? since it has no record for packages to be moved to the next facility. They just don't care your stuff. Without receipt and scanning record, you could not even initiate any investigation or claim loss.

This place's customer service is genuinely horrible. I contacted them once and they cut the call before I even had a chance to say something. I kept trying to call them again and again and the lady on the phone either kept ending the call or putting me on hold indefinitely. The customer service lady needs to be retrained as she is not able to do her job properly.

This place is the worst I only gave one star to write this review first let me say they treat they co workers like trash and it’s corny how they have ppl who just started ride the bus and they gotta call the supervisor to find at where they are for that day when then should be calling the ppl who just started not to mention some is on the bus I can’t even go on this is not a good work place

My friend got a very unprofessional experience here! The staff Rose literally said that she refused to help my friend, and friend just want her to check a missing letter(which usps DID NOT deliver it!). And at last, a postman helped my friend got the supervisor do the work.
