I am giving a one star review because I continuously keep getting mail from this place. STOP sending me mail to enroll for this school!!! I do not have a child, nor do I plan on ever having a child and I have absolutely no clue how you got my address other than you buy people’s data from other companies. All this company is doing is wasting trees.

The benefits of the Goddard “umbrella” and curriculum PLUS owners and teachers who treat everyone like family. As a parent dropping your kids off at school, you want to know that they are being encouraged to thrive developmentally while also being nurtured emotionally. The Goddard School in Newark checks all of the boxes.

Goddard in Newark is the perfect balance of school and family. The staff members genuinely care for children and become an extension of the family. My oldest started with Goddard at only three months. As a first time mom, sending my baby to school was terrifying, but the staff at Goddard put me at ease. The classrooms follow procedure, schedules and curriculum for even the youngest learners. More than that though, they took the time to build a relationship with my son and my family. We receive daily communication including pictures and updates throughout the day.After COVID hit, we kept my son out of daycare for 8 months, upon his return, Goddard went above the call of duty to support a smooth transition back to school. Now, my younger son is part of the Goddard family too. Once again, the team has embraced my baby and worked with me to support his school experience. Goddard is kid centered and it shows. Both my boys are happy and excited to go to school each day. This speaks volumes of the love and care they receive at Goddard.

Very happy with the quality of care my children have received at The Goddard School in Newark. From newborn to pre-k, my 3 children have thrived in the nurturing environment with an excellent staff that feels like family. Would highly recommend this school to anyone looking for kind, compassionate owners, administrators and teachers and an overall safe and inclusive environment for learning in all stages of development.

My son Dom has attended the center for about 3 years. He attended from daycare age straight through and he is now in Kindergarten. Yes they have a private Kindergarten at the school. The school follows curriculum from infants to Kindergarten and Dom has learned so much academically, socially and emotionally. The staff is friendly, professional, knowledgeable, loving and dedicated. In fact the school only closed for maybe 30 days during the pandemic giving my son the opportunity to experience his first school age learning in-person. I don’t think I can say enough good things about Goddard (Newark). It’s probably why they were voted Best Daycare in Delaware. This review is kinda bitter sweet because after summer camp he will be moving on to 1st grade, which they present do not have. So next year Dom goes to the traditional public setting and I’m hoping his first grade experience is half as enriching as his last few years has been.

My son attended this school for almost three years. It is a wonderful environment with a strong sense of family and community. His time at Goddard ignited his imaginative creativity and a love of all things science. The curriculum was robust and the staff were very much involved with his development. We were at the school during the change of ownership and had our concerns that the quality of education would be compromised but once we saw how Joe and Stacey were immediately elevating the program we were very happy we stayed. Everyone will have their experiences and views on the school both good and bad.. I always remind my self that people rarely write a review when the experience was great and tend to use reviews as a weapon. We loved it there and would recommend this location to anyone who wants to see their child blossom in a safe and nurturing environment. Thanks again, Joe and Stacey!! And don’t get me started on the celebrations and food spreads!! I sure do miss those breakfasts! ❤️

I want to give high praise to this amazing daycare and school. Finding a childcare provider for my first and only child was a huge challenge for my family. In tours I never really felt comfortable anywhere except the Goddard sites. My last and favorite tour was the Goddard School in Newark. My daughter has been off and on there for about a year now and I have seen such a difference in her development compared to a trial run we did at a different poorly run "brand name" center. I understand that each Goddard is independently owned and franchised so my experience may have been different at another Goddard location. However, this center at Newark really has their act together. I have never seen a daycare so clean, organized and with such loving and genuinely caring teachers and staff. When I was having problems with a different daycare and made the switch due to financial reasons, Cindy welcomed my child back without hesitation or waiting and told us we were already family here. They are very good at working with familys lifestyle and budget. They are fantastic at communicating. I 100% feel that my child is safe and loved here. She is a thriving toddler and I want to give a huge thanks to Goddard School of Newark for help shape my daughter into a spunky fun and confident little girl. Goddard is a surprise to say the least. When we started at a large daycare center we expected a much more impersonal environment. However, this wonderful school has a very well-developed curriculum and provides children with great learning opportunities, while at the same time providing the level of attention and care of an in-home daycare program. All of the teachers develop close bonds with the children, and as a parent you feel "part of the family." We've always felt that we can come to them with any question or concern, no matter how small, and it's always treated with the utmost importance.
