RUDE! Rude! Rude! The store manager on duty the morning of Monday 6/24/24. Was working the register and talking on her cell phone. She is possible Hispanic. (Not that, that matters)
I questioned the price on some toilet paper, because the price that rang up was higher than what was marked on the shelf. She, the manager got very load and rude, she said look it’s Monday morning I don’t have time for this! Do you want the tissue or not? This is the price! So I ask her politely is she would go and check the price for me. She said NO! Do you want the tissue or not?
I asked her why is she being so rude, I’m just asking as a customer the correct price and maybe they have it labeled wrong on the shelf. She said again look… this is the price, do you want it or not! Note for the record I was the only customer in the store at the time. There was no one in line. She proceeded to say she was busy and couldn’t leave the register, that she was the only one there…. Lies, there were other employees in the store. She refused to help me so I let the store without what I needed. This needs to a should be addressed with her!!!

I gotta spill the tea on my ongoing struggle with purchasing Google Play Gift Cards at the Family Dollar store in Possum Park area, Newark, DE. It's been a rollercoaster of emotions, and it's high time someone addresses this issue!Let me break it down for you. Whenever I swing by the store to grab a Google Play Gift Card, it's like playing a game of chance. Sometimes, the cashier scans it, and voila! Activation successful, and I'm all set for some digital fun. But way too often, it's a different story. The card stubbornly refuses to activate, no matter how meticulously I follow the procedures. Seriously, Family Dollar, what's the deal?Alright, so I reached out to the staff, hoping for a straightforward fix. Guess what? The higher-ups or those "boss" types just shrugged it off! Seriously, talk about dropping the ball on customer service.Family Dollar, listen up! We, the customers, need reliability. If you're gonna sell Google Play Gift Cards, make sure they work consistently! Call for an investigation or something, train your staff properly, and fix any technical or procedural glitches causing this mess. It's not rocket science!Now, I'm here writing this review, not because I want to rant, but because I want to see some change. Family Dollar, you need to step up your game and address this ongoing issue. I generally enjoy going into the store because the staff is always friendly, and the stores always clean and if I have any questions finding whatever it is, the staff is always available with their time to help me however, the customers not so much!!! I recently left my umbrella in the store and I called not 20 minutes later because I realized I had left it and in that short amount of time. Another customer had picked it up. If it were not for the friendly staff, I would not go back into that store.

I just tried calling this store no one answered the phone. I called the second time got a busy tone. A person can't be that busy to not answer the phone if there are not busy with a customer. For an employee to walk to the phone just to take it off the hook is not busy there are just lazy

For the most part our experience was as expected. Is a typical Family Dollar. The store seemed clean and smelled pleasant upon entering. The only inconvenience was that there was no cashier at the front of the store when it was time for us to check out. We waited approximately 4 minutes before I walked the store and found someone to come ring us up. It also seemed like he was perhaps the only employee in the store.
Update: store has declined in cleanliness and it stinks sometimes. Manager/"trainer" is short tempered and crass with employees. Employees seem nice but under trained due to high turnover.

I was able to find the men's shampoo and body wash with the particular brand and flavor that I wanted. Ms. Ciomari was also an excellent cashier.
