I made an appointment back in March with my soon-to-be daughter-in-law to find a mother-of-the-groom dress. I did my research and arrived with many pictures and the consultant could not be bothered. She quickly glanced at them and offered me a few old lady dresses instead. She said they didn't have any of the ones pictured, all of which I obtained from their website. I almost left but I felt bad because I was with my future daughter-in-law and this was where she bought her dress. Had I been alone I absolutely would have left. We did finally find a few things without any help from the consultant. Not sure why you even need an appointment since they are no help whatsoever. I ordered the dress which arrived in July. I came in for alterations which were $175. I thought $175 for alterations meant they would make the dress fit me. No, for $175 you get a seam sewed up the side so that the dress is super uncomfortable, and the bottom of the dress just cut off. I was speechless, a $600 dress where the bottom is just cut off with scissors. I could have done that myself for free. And the side seam alterations were so uncomfortable. I complained about the hem, and had to bring it back again to have it fixed properly. I never mentioned the side seams because it was obvious at this point I was lucky to even get the hem fixed in time for the wedding. The dress was beautiful but was so uncomfortable to wear. I regretted spending all this money here when I could have easily bought something that fit and didn't need alterations from Macy's. What a nightmare. My daughter-in-law had her own separate nightmare with her veil. Thank goodness we don't need to ever go here again.

Emily was great through the whole experience. I showed her a couple pictures of what I liked and she picked out the most perfect dress. She was so patient and sweet, every bride deserves an experience just like that. Thank you again Emily!

I went here as my second time trying on wedding dresses, as my first experience at another bridal shop was not the best so I was not expecting much especially as a first time bride. I was very nervous and a bit intimidated going into this appointment but as soon as I stepped foot into this place and was greeted by Marie, my mood immediately shifted. She was so sweet and super helpful. She asked me a few questions to find out what I was looking for and she gave me plenty of options which the first place did not based off of the budget I gave them. Marie never treated me differently because of that. She listened to me and took her time finding additional gowns that I did not think that I would like but was proven wrong. I fortunately ended up saying yes to the dress and could not be happier with my decision. I live almost 2 hours away from Newark and I am so glad I came across this bridal shop on google and took my chances. I highly recommend brides & grooms especially if you’re a first time bride and it’s your first time trying on dresses. If I could give this review ten stars, I would!

I had the absolute best experience here! Emily (i think) was the one who helped me and she was amazing. She listed to everything I wanted and helped me find my dream dress! After telling her the two styles I was considering, she picked out the absolute best dresses that fit both perfectly. I was stuck between two styles and she was patient and allowed me time to really decide which one was the one. I highly highly recommend Brides and Grooms!!

Emily helped me pick my dress on August 5th, 2023. It was my first-time dress shopping, and she listened patiently to what I thought I wanted. We found the perfect gown, and everyone complimented it all night long!! Thank you, Emily, for making finding my dress super easy! She also listened to my budget and only brought me dresses that fit my budget! She made the experience perfect!

Purchased a gown at Brides and Grooms for my sons wedding. Picked up my gown a few days before the wedding to discover they destroyed my gown with the alterations. My gown was completely destroyed! The owners daughter Marie had no compassion and couldn’t careless I was left without a gown as the Mother of the Groom just a few days before the wedding . She didn’t offer me any options to get another gown or try to help with the situation. She didn’t even apppolgizes . I would never purchase a gown from this place,, and definitely don’t get your alterations done there . They don’t know what they are doing . They did a very poor job on the Mother of the Bride’s gown . The made of honors gown was sewn wrong and she had to bring it to a another seamstress to repair her dress. The only person at the store who was amazing was Emily . Emily did and amazing job trying to help me find another dress elsewhere by recommending another bridal shop, and she even connected me to a dressmaker to alter a new gown .Thank you to Emily and the dressmaker Emily recommended for helping me get a new gown in time for my sons wedding ! My advise would be not to shop at Brides and Grooms , Marie is very rude and unprofessional . I even heard her speak rudly to a customer over the phone while I was there

Fabulous variety, and good prices! I was helped by Emily and she was amazing. I was sure of what style and color gown I was looking for. Once I walked in, Emily sorted me out and had some great recommendations!

Meh. Went here with my daughter to look for prom dresses. Friends in the area said this was the place to go, but I was not impressed. They had a huge selection, but almost too much…. The dresses were smooshed together on racks and i’m still not sure how they were organized.
Employees were not very helpful, they weren’t rude nor were they overly polite. I felt like it was about the same level of service you would get at the mall.

Emily made my wedding dress shopping experience absolutely amazing! Their website has a feature where you can pick out the dresses you’re interested in trying on ahead of time that way when you come in, they’re already pulled for you! Emily had all my dresses ready to go + some others I didn’t even notice on the website (including the dress I chose)! I had about 6 people with me which I was glad they were able to accommodate. Emily ensured I felt comfortable & confident in each dress & was very honest. I can’t say enough good things about Emily & my overall experience with this store!

I had such an amazing experience here finding my wedding dress. Emily just made the whole experience sweet and special. After coming from David's Bridal where I received no help, no clips on my try-ons, no train fluffs.... I came here and walked out a very happy girl! Emily was full of spunk and life and truly made me feel so beautiful and perfect in my dress. With my wedding only weeks away I lucked out finding one that fit me like a glove needing no alterations. Highly recommend!!

Didn’t HAVE her dress at the store when we went in for our appointment!! Did not buy the wedding dress from there but did go for alterations and it was the worst experience ever! The first time we went in we had an appointment and it still took over an hour for the lady to help us cause she was doing “an emergency” alteration so what only should have taken 15 mins took almost 2 hours. Then the way she pinned the dress my daughter was unable to take the dress off. Had to wait more so she could come fix the pinning. When we came back the second time they didn’t even have her dress at the store! Didn’t bother to check where her dress was. We live over an hour away they could have let us know her dress wasn’t there. The day of the wedding the bustle which was only one small loop didn’t last even 30 mins it was way to much dress to only have one added loop for her bustle. I would not recommend going to this store for anything. Very unhappy with their customer service.

OMG Where do I start. We had been to a major Bridal place it was horrible. I felt so bad for my soon to be Daughter In law. I Started calling around and came across Bride and groom's I told them our situation with the wedding only being about 40 days away and also limited budget. Got a appointment the next day showed us amazing beautiful dresses she Said Yes to the Dress. We were done in a little over an hour. Emily was the BEST ask for her. She was amazing ! Dont go any where else !!! Amazing Experience !!❤
