So many kind things to say about TJs Repair! Catelynn - phenomenal job in taking care of me and my worries concerning my town car! Thank you so much! Kevin - thank you so much for taking care of my car as well - great guy! Everyone I encountered at TJs did awesome and I’m blessed to have found a local repair shop here in Milford. You all took my stress away and prices were extremely reasonable. God Bless all of you!

DO NOT bring your vehicle to this shop. They were on the list of DNREC approved mechanics for an emissions issue with Sussex County’s stricter emissions laws in 2024 but boy do they extort folks addressing those issues. Not only did they charge us a $120 diagnostic fee (even though we brought them the exact DMV code and didn’t need diagnostics) they explicitly DONT and refuse to roll that into the cost of fixing the issue which was not disclosed to us when we made the appointment. On top of that, they quoted us $3000 - FIVE TIMES the cost for the job that our local mechanic did. When we balked at the price they offered us to take on a smaller “repair” which was replacing an 02 sensor that had oil on it and “might not even be broken but just need a cleaning but there’s no way for us to know and may not fully address your problem but we could write you the waiver either way at that point.”The 02 replacement quote was $300+ when we know that the part itself is only <$70 and takes only 20 minutes to replace. Their suggestion was, of course, to take the completely overpriced O2 sensor repair in addition to $120 diagnostic fee (for nothing) to put us over $200 minimum requirement for the DMV in order to get a waiver. So they couldn’t roll the $120 diagnostic fee into the labor to replace the <$80 o2 sensor and put us at the $200 threshold when they could overcharge for the part and labor and keep the diagnostic fee that was already addressed on the paper we handed them. All in all, they are price gouging by hundreds of dollars from folks with this new emissions policy and overcharging them three or four times what the repairs are at other locations and extorting the diagnostic fee for something already diagnosed and not rolling it into the repair/minimum spend for the waiver is ludicrous. TAKE YOUR VEHICLES ELSEWHERE.

My husbands clutch went out in his car and we were struggling to find a place that would work on it due to the type of car it was. I called and spoke with Katelyn and she was super helpful with helping me schedule to bring it in. She even helped by giving a tow company they use to get the car there. The price was definitely cheaper than what we were thinking and work was great. Would definitely recommend for any work in the future.

The customer service is great here. Texts and phone calls. They are a small shop with great service and care. They are affordable and trustworthy. They perform services requested. They are great to accommodate a hectic schedule.

Price gouging business. Charged me 1.6hrs labor to put in a turn signal switch that takes 30 mins tops to do. Frame my $$$$ cause you'll never see another penny from me.

They fixed my car and the issue hasn't come back 2 weeks later. They will text you when your car is ready, which I think is pretty nice.

I am very very happy with my experience with T.J.'s Auto Repair in Milford DE. When I spoke with Catelyn over the phone, she was very helpful in fitting me in to their busy schedule, as I had to have my car towed to their shop after it broke down on a back country road. She was also very professional and friendly!! Thank you so much Catelyn!! Also the mechanic that worked on my car, Kevin, contacted me the next morning to keep me updated on what was going on with my car. Obviously he is a very skilled mechanic because he was able to identify the problem of why my car overheated, and correct the issue the same day! Thank you Kevin!! I am very impressed with the services I received including excellent customer service, technical knowledge of the mechanic and how quickly the repairs were made!! My car was completed and ready the very next day!!! Thank you both again and I look forward to working with you again in the future!! ??
