My grandson went to a birthday party there. It took no time for me to get there from my home. I'll definitely tell people that The Hampton Inn Milfod is definitely worth having a party at.Nearby activities: The pool was awesome!!!!

Not so easy to get back on highway. Property is in the midst of a badly needed renovation of the rooms. Not terrible but not what I usually expect from HI.

Older hotel but a clean and very quiet location. Like the atypical room arrangement. Hate the envelope style duvet!!

Staff at the hotel are very accommodating. I have an issue, even though, the hotel is listed as pet friendly. Dogs barking at night, dogs sitting on the sofa and chairs were the guests sit. I like dogs, but they are not human and consider the humans who pay to stay at the hotel and also want to be comfortable. I do like this hotel, but I don't think I'll stay again because of the dogs. Puppies, enjoy ?

I stayed one night for the road trip. The room is a little old, but it can be told by the price(it is the cheapest Hilton hotel near by).Super nice font desk and well managed for breakfast.

Overall this was a totally adequate Hampton Inn located about 30 minutes from the beach. The room itself was very basic Hampton Inn, for those of you who have traveled and used this brand for a long time you totally know what I'm talking about. The carpeting was a bit outdated, it had the old micro fridge with the wooden furniture and old school layout.I didn't sleep so well here because it was just very cold in the room, and the way that the AC cycled was difficult to get a good temperature for me. The hotel is very quiet, we really did not hear any type of road noise from our room. The TV is absolutely tiny compared to most hotels, and that's something they may want to look at in the future to bring it up a bit.The bathroom was clean and I really enjoy the brand of products Hampton is using these days. It really has such a pleasant, clean scent. Our room oddly had two shampoos and no conditioner, but love the smell of the body wash and lotion. As others pointed out the hotel is in a little bit of a weird area, you need to make sure to GPS it because it was kind of tricky to get into and out of back onto the main route. The town itself is actually very lovely, we enjoyed the area on the water. I definitely recommend going into the town of Milford, it's just a unique place, with history.Free breakfast was great! They had either blueberry or vanilla waffles that you can make, in addition to egg white frittatas, potatoes and sausage as well as very cereals, breads and pastries. As a vegetarian I did not go hungry. The staff was very pleasant and helpful during our day. Housekeeping really seem to enjoy each other's company which is something I love to see. It's really not a bad choice, it's just a basic old school Hampton Inn property where the people who work there seem to take pride in their hotel. Totally fine for our stopover.Walkability: There is nothing walkable to the hotel. It is in an area that is very quiet, but there is nothing close by but a church and a residential neighborhood.

Stayed here for one night while we were traveling. The area the hotel is located is nice, the staff was super friendly! The rooms were the only let down. The halls had a slight smell and the outside of the door to our room was very dirty. The room itself was dated. The beds were ok, and the bathroom also had a strange scent, but nothing serious enough to deter us from staying. The water pressure wasn’t great, and I think the worst was and old dinner roll was under the sink. Looks like it’s been for a while. I would say the room definitely did not reflect the price of the hotel. Included breakfast was great. All in all, the hotel was fine for our quick overnight stay, but I would not stay again.

I recently stayed at the Hampton Inn in Milford Delaware. I don't normally take the time to write reviews but this time I had to and hope it will deter other potential guests from choosing this hotel. I made my reservation online through the Hilton Honors app. The app offered the option to pick your own room and indicate your check in time. I thought this was a great option. I picked a second floor room at the front of the hotel where i had a clear view of the parking lot and a 3:00 check in time. We were traveling with bikes and I wanted to be able to keep an eye on them. Ww arrived a little early and the room I requested was not ready so we waited in the lobby until it was, no big deal. When they said our room was ready it turned out they changed my room, not the room I selected. If they had selected a similar room close to the one i selected it would have been ok. Instead they put us in a room at the back of the hotel with a view of nothing but the wall along the roof over the pool. I had to go back to the desk and get that resolved.I also chose to use the digital key option in the app. It worked ok but would only work on my phone so I had to get a key card for my partner. However once I used the digital key it somehow disabled the key card and she got locked out of the room. That is a system that is not ready for prime time.We always choose hotels with a pool, which this one did have. It was open on Sunday night after we checked in but was then closed until Wednesday night, so we paid for a hotel with a pool we could not use.Every morning when the cleaning staff started work it was more like they were partying in the hallways. They congregated in groups talking loudly, banging doors, having a great time, and of course waking up everyone on the floor. I understand now why it takes them so long to get the rooms ready, a lot of talking, not a lot of cleaning going on. When we got into our room we had to clean the shower walls, that were covered in long black hairs. The breakfast was ok, typical for a free hotel breakfast and would have been ok except for having to look at the dead flies on the floor and counter. I have used Hampton hotels a lot but after this experience I don't plan on using them again, and will never stay in this particular hotel and hope this review will serve as a warning to others. I will also think twice before staying in any Hilton owned hotel in the future.
