UPDATE! I spoke with the manager and she was very apologetic, sincere, and adamant about making things right. She gave me a gift card to come back to her salon and give them another shot. I was super impressed that she called me (I requested a call while at the shop) as soon as possible. She was not accusatory at all; very understanding and made me want to try this salon out again. I do not live in state but I will consider trying them out again the next time I am in town.
I had the worst experience trying out this nail salon for the first time and I will NEVER be back. I came in today (Monday) at 2:30pm for a pedicure. I was immediately taken to the back to begin the foot soak. Lawn approached to do my toes at 3:15 (40 mins later) and asked what color I wanted. I showed her a simple design and she responded “oh I can’t do design, I’m in a rush. I have an appointment”. I explained to her that I do not want my feet rushed because my WEDDING is in 3 DAYS and I want them to look nice. I then watched her walk around the shop until 3:47 (30 mins) until her appointment came in. In the midst of that time, I asked if she could start my pedicure and then I could wait for someone who was able to do the design when they were free. She said no LOL. Another lady approached and explained they didn’t have pearls like the picture showed but they had rhinestones. I told her that I’d take the rhinestones, no problem. Just as she was about to do my toes, her appointment walked in and she could no longer do it. 4 “appointments” walked in while I was sitting waiting. I was told that they called Leah to come into the shop and do my nails. Leah never showed. 2 additional people were seated for pedicures (a man and wife) AFTER ME and got up and left because they were not serviced. At 4pm
I started asking questions. How much longer, what’s the person’s name that will be doing my pedicure, ETC. and the nail tech with blonde highlights started getting sassy. “Well you’re a walk in…we have appointments…you should have told them what you wanted when you walked in” (which, first of all, I DID). At that point I told them I was leaving and they began speaking in their native language about “walk ins” and how walk ins shouldn’t be taken to the back to be soaked. I made a complaint with Anna the receptionist and I am waiting for a phone call from the owners, Tony and Jasmine. My feet were soaking from 2:35 - 4:04pm. AN HOUR AND A HALF while nail techs sat around waiting for their appointments to show up. If you are going to cater to appointments only, then you should not accept walk ins. If your team cannot do basic designs (pic of what I wanted attached) then you should make it clear that you do not do designs. If a paying customer comes in more than 20 mins ahead of an appointment, they should be serviced! Im sure a person with an appointment would not mind waiting 5-10 mins. Way to waste a bride’s time, days before her wedding when she could have went ANYWHERE!! I traveled from New Jersey to give this place a chance because my mother and sisters frequently come here. NEVER AGAIN! I left the salon with no service done and soggy feet. Absolutely disgusted.

This place I would say specializes in hand services . it was an acceptable experience from start to finish. The ambiance was both chic and relaxing, with a calming atmosphere that immediately put me at ease. The salon was immaculately clean, and the staff took extra care to maintain a hygienic environment, which is incredibly important to me. The nail technicians were not only highly skilled but also genuinely friendly and attentive. I opted for a gel manicure and a classic pedicure. The manicure was performed with meticulous attention to detail. Annie took the time to understand my preferences and offered excellent suggestions that enhanced the final look. The polish application was flawless, with no smudges or streaks. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted warmly. The pedicure however was rushed and done by a different technician. I sat in the water until it turned cold. She then rushed me to go and get her own nails done by Annie which is unprofessional and noticed by others at the shop. Sucks since I get pedicures weekly.. I'll have to find a diff shop now

i'll preface this by saying most nail salons are very reputable in the area based off multiple specific technicians, and i came here with the intent of going to a specific tech after a last minute decision to get them done before going to the beach. the overall look of the salon is beautiful and well kept, everything is clean and well put together. however, be careful who you choose to get your nails done by. i went here because a good friend told me good things and my original technicians were off today so i took the chance for something different, but i was disappointed. i got a technician who was: 1. very speedy. she removed the gel lamp too early and two of my nails got ripples on them. she covered one up with another layer of polish instead of seeing it and fixing it. the other one is very obvious to see in lighting that the salon did NOT provide so i didn't see the issues until i left. 2. she didn't ask me every once in a while if i liked the shape or if everything was okay. i'm used to techs asking multiple times if everything is going the way i like my nails, and i feel this should be a beginner thing a technician should learn to know if everything is going alright. 3. parts of my nails feel empty or over polished! polish could've been used in a lot of places on some areas are very obvious to see they are messed up. my one nail looks like my cuticle is a whole other shape when it isn't that way at all. 4. i asked for a almond shape, but some of the shapes are very different from one another... 5. i asked for my nails to be shortened more as well, so i figured as she was changing the shape (from square to almond) it'd be shortened. all of that, i get charged $58!!! 48 for the refill (the website says 38, include gel polish price on top of that if that is the norm to add on top of acrylic, because you get people that are shocked by the price when they are done.) 5 for the shape (figured) and 5 for long nails? weren't i supposed to get them shortened during the shape change? i used to work in a nail salon and have been getting my nails done for some time. i know some people get on customers butts for not complaining beforehand if they weren't happy with the outcome of their nails, but sometimes people are A. not conflictive, or B. they don't recognize until they are out the door. not to mention some salon lights are crappy anyways and provide poor lighting. if you are going to go into this salon, go in knowing exactly who is doing your nails and know they will do well, plus know what you are going to be spending. if not, ask the receptionist who they recommend. they will be honest, trust me. but in my experience? it was mediocre, especially for $58 next time, ask the client throughout the process if they like the shape/length. especially since i didn't really get the shortness i preferred... edit: not to mention, she didn't put base coat on my nails when she began painting them! i don't expect these to last long at all if a decent base coat can't even be applied...

Nancy does great work. I left Florida because they don’t seem to respect people of color there. The NE is no different. I have been a loyal customer that tips well because they don’t think Black people do anyway. I was with this tech since I got here last April. And in a years time things happen . There has been occasions where I’ve been running late but an equal number of times where I have been on time and have had to wait for her working on someone else or asking me if I mind while someone else starts taking my gel off because she is with someone else. The last straw was her callingme to come in early because SHE had no shows and then proceeded to disrespect and condescend to assume I would be late. Don’t talk to me like a child when you had someone leave the shop because the smudged their toenail and you stopped doing my nail to touch this lady’s feet and then did not change gloves and continued my nails?. They really don’t have any respect for us our women but they take our money and rudely speak about us in their native tongue. Put you Google Translate on while getting your nails done to translate from Vietnamese to English….the things you will hear. She is good but I’m sure there is a good tech that will respect me and my 6 figures. Honorable people honor loyalty. Aaaand I still tipped her though she was disrespectful. Since they don’t expect anything I should not have but I’m a decent person .
