If I could give no stars I would. I was there a few weeks back and had an order larger than the 20 item max allowed at self checkout. There was a young man who was scanning my order I said hello and he didn’t acknowledge me. I usually help bag and after the transaction was complete he stood there and watched me finish bagging my groceries. Once complete he just turned around and I thanked him and told him to have a nice day. I chalked it up to him being young and went on my way. Yesterday I had a similar experience with an older woman who rang me up. I said good morning and asked how she was doing and she too didn’t acknowledge it and then went to scan the large items in my cart. I offered to pick one up since the scanner was having issues and again nothing. Once my transaction was complete she too stood there and watched me bag my groceries. Another guest was waiting to be checked out and he asked me if I needed a hand. I declined as I was practically done and once I was done I thanked the cashier and told her to have a nice day. Maybe this is the norm? Is this what I should expect from associates at this store? Maybe I am expecting too much or things have changed since I worked as a cashier only a few years prior.

The management at this location is incredibly rude, making it a chaotic and unpleasant place to shop. The current manager, Monica, is not a good fit for the role; she is unhelpful and often stays in her office instead of assisting customers. There are typically only two cashiers available when I shop, leading to long waits and frustration. The store is disorganized and poorly stocked. Additionally, when my 75-year-old father places online orders for pickup, items are frequently out of stock, making the experience even more frustrating.

Giant grocery store is a nice size store. Self check out is tricky, I'm sorry to see that they will not be carrying my favorite spice Rib Rack CHIPOLTE (Sad)

For the first time in all the times that I have been going to this location I ran into a terible person at the chekout counter. This young woman was grumpy, rude, would not make look up and eye contact. She spoke so softly that I had to keep asking her to repeat herself. I told her that the oranges I bought weere 10 for $10. She ignored me and charged me $15. She needs to be kept away from the public. Awfull.
I wanted to post this update of my preivious complaint. I was contacted by the manager of the store where this happened and I am impressed with her outreach to me. She was very nice and was also upset with my experience. She has done a lot to restore my faith in this store. I can tell that she was concerned about this and not just making a call because she had too. Thank you very much!

I recently visited the deli at Giant in Middletown. The member working the deli said he would be right back after 15 minutes which I timed, I decided to place my order via the kioskand was given #3 after 20 minutes and proceeded to the customer service desk to see if there was someone else who could assist me. After a little nudging the member placed the intercom call and I proceeded back to the deli.Once there the member who was working the seafood was assisting another shopper. I asked was my order ready to which he replied I just got here??. Poor customer service all around. I dont usually complain but its 90 plus degrees and I have other groceries in my car. If your not going to use the system dont have me use the system. Giant please do better......

The receiver is rude. They have two dock sides, one on each end both have receiving times posted on the doors. You’ll knock and they can hear you because you can hear them and he will ignore you …blatantly. Instead of just saying come around to the other side. If you are new dropping off here you would never know. I knocked on the door i docked next to. How hard is it to have some human decency and SPEAK. And why have the rudest person on your payroll the receiving manager? I called customer service and the lady said “he must be in one of his moods”. Go home if you don’t want to work. The rest of us are trying to make the best out of our days.

Stopped in for powerball and mega millions tickets.Strolled about the store to comparison shop against pricing of Acme and Walmart items usually purchased by me. Got a few bananas ?, then left.Store very clean; I checked the produce out, too. I did see one very withering plum in the fresh fruit area - unexpected finding because TV commercials say they are experts in judging fruit.

We’ve been doing grocery pick up since COVID and we’ve recently started receiving the best service since Jeff has joined the pickup team. He’s always kind, helpful and ends every interaction with “Thank you for your business!” He’s such a great add to your team! A lot of the other employees could learn a thing or two from him.

A good store. Not much variety in beef at times as in steaks and roasts. Other than that should have everything that you may need
