We initially loved this little store, reading their super cute coasters and laughing at their sayings. Right behind this display was another one with a ceramic figurine sitting on the ledge. While enjoying the saying on the coasters, my daughter took one step backward, and the figurine fell and broke. That little delicate thing should not have been sitting on the ledge, especially in such tight corners in that store. The displays were so close it was bound to happen. The cashier told us that we had to pay for the figurine, which we had already assumed, but it left a sour taste in our mouths. My 11-year-old already felt bad, then to have to pay $36 for a small ceramic piece that was made in China seemed absurd. The store owner should take more time thinking about where things should be displayed - and not in such tight corners. At the very least, they should NOT have made us pay full price for the figurine, which was so ugly we ended up just throwing away.

My favorite store in Lewes. Always has seasonal decor along with what you would expect at a shop at the beach. Quality merchandise and friendly service.

I was looking for postcards and something to remember my time along the Delaware coastline. Artworks, local pieces, pottery and tableware, beach themed stuff. I did not spot postcards but I did find a small dish that will be nice for holding random bits on my desk. Prices here tend to range from bargain to expensive. My dish was wrapped nicely and ready for travel as it still has 2000 miles to go. [Review 18208 overall - 122 in Delaware - 1730 of 2022.]

We stopped into this shop, just intending to browse. Then my husband saw an art glass piece that would be perfect to replace one that had recently gotten broken at home. It was reasonably priced and just what we had been looking for. But we were going to lunch and did not want to carry a fragile item around. So the friendly young man at the register held it for me after I paid for it. When we stopped back to pick it up, he had wrapped it nicely in the original box. They had a nice variety of items and the level of customer service was a nice surprise.

Nice little store with a great selection of greeting cards and fun beach themed products. However, I was in the store with a friend of mine on 4/5/2021. After a few minutes of browsing, I said hello to the gentleman behind the counter. No smile or hello back or how are you today. Nope. He stared at me in silence for a few seconds then said "What can I help you with?". Um, this is a gift store where people browse and generally ask if they're looking for something specific. The dismissive tone in his voice was clear: "What do you want?" or "Get out". What's available in that store is available in other places and taking my business elsewhere is exactly what I'll do. I don't need to shop at a place where the grumpy man behind the counter makes it clear he prefers that I'm not there.

Bottom Line: Coastal decor and gifts and friendly staff. Lewes Gifts is located on the main drag of downtown Lewes, 2nd Street. The store is packed full of goodies and requires a little bit of exploration. The store is very beachy feeling so there is plenty of coastal decor like napkins, pillows and wall decor. There is also plenty of gifty stuff like Inis fragrance, the ever popular Poo-pouri, speciality wine glasses and mugs, tea towels, trinkets, candles and such. The staff is very friendly and vocal in welcoming customers and I appreciate that. Definitely worth a stop while strolling through Lewes.

Great local shop for all your souvenir and art needs. We always get an ornament to keep and postcards to send wherever we go, and this was the BEST place. Hand-made ceramic ornament by a local artist (last name Ulry)! And the salesman was very helpful and personable.
