I've purchased jewelry here before (multiple times) and have spent a considerable amount of cash doing do. I also brought a friend from Chicago down to Lewes to visit this shop. She also made a significant purchase at this store. I recently went back with my birthday money - several hundred dollars - looking to get some bling in the form of a ring. I was entering the store with a cup of coffee in hand, and was told I couldn't come in with food. OK. I don't have a problem with that, even if the policy isn't posted anywhere. What I have a problem with is the TONE AND MANNER taken by the shop clerk. She was EXTREMELY RUDE and dismissive. I was embarrassed in front of other customers as I was told to get out (I had one foot in the store). As a repeat customer who has brought additional trade to her store, and spent several hundred dollars, I expect better treatment. At the very least, courtesy. She couldn't suggest that i set my cup down while I looked around? How about please come back when you finish your coffee. Almost everything is in locked cases, what did she think was going to happen? She can put her sunstones where the moonstones don't shine. I took my trade, and my disposable income, to Rehoboth Beach.
