Called to confirm amount of check could be cashed at this location, drove over 40 minutes for them to tell me it was to big. Being told this after maybe hour or so ago saying they could do it. Terrible communication and customer service

Went to the branch, wanted to open a savings acct - was told there had been a death, they were shorthanded, I'd have to make an appt. Tried to open acct online - I entered all data asked for, but it said I was missing data, but it wouldn't say what was missing(!), and said I'd have to schedule an appt to come in. I tried online 3 times, same result. I called to make an appt., but my call never got answered.Went online and opened an account at Citizens bank - it was easy. Succeeded on first try with the same data.+*+*+****+++ EDIT +*+*I replied to the comment below, supplied them with information, and told them to try opening a savings account themselves - even compare it to Citizens - and to try their useless help number - an automated dead end - other than their expressing 'concern' I have heard of no positive actions.I received 3 letters from Wells Fargo - one for each attempt I made online to open an account - each said I would have to reapply with a branch representative since they couldn't verify my identity - no other option given. I GAVE MY driver's license # - that can be looked up - it was good enough for Citizens. WHY offer an online application if you can't do it online???

The bank is understaffed. The wait time is longer than any other bank I have ever been to. If you'd like to open an account, then you'll have to schedule an appointment, no walk-ins. In Dover, DE I would recommend M&T, WSFS, TD, or one of the Credit Unions.

I love this bank. The tellers are nice and polite and it is clean and wheelchair accessible.

I’ve been to MANY Wells Fargo locations and this was by far the best experience I have had. There was no wait despite being there 20 min after opening. All of the tellers were so nice and helpful.

I was at a teller with my wife. I made a mistake that my wife had a ATM card thereI apologized to my wife for being slow.The TELLER COPED AN ATTITUDE WITH ME. MANAGEMENT,, YOU NEED TO TELL YOUR TELLERS TO MINE THEIR OWN BUSY WHEN ITS BETWEEN CUSTOMERS...I have had other issues with ill mannered girls there not wanting to take roll of coins.

They were unable to open a Qualified Income Trust (QIT). I was there for nearly 3 hours waiting for one thing after another. The so-called banker knew nothing of the process and I had to call my lawyer 3 times to help guide them through the process. The final straw was when they refused even read the set of instructions my lawyer had written for them to follow. I read the other reviews and thought that it couldn't be as bad as they sounded. It's worse. Run from this place.

This location is horrible. The wait times are ridiculous even if there are multiple bankers standing around at one desk not doing anything. They also don't answer the phones.. I called once purposely as I was walking in to see if they weren't any the phone because they were busy and nope! Several employees just not doing anything and just letting it ring. Lots of training needed at this location, in all positions. What a mess.

Worst location, never opened BUT ALWAYS HAVE managers walking around. Come on man you were once a teller jump on a computer and help them out. There’s guy, old lady, and other lady who just walk around. Been waiting on drive through for 40 minutes and only 2 cars in front of me. If you only going to have drive through like move it line is so backed up. Last week here, yes my business only for 9 months and only 20k in bank but they should value all customers and have better service. PNC here I come. Oh and you can’t request certain bills. AT THE BANK, like stores don’t want hundreds and the bank doesn’t want to give small bills. Wells Fargo Headquarters come shut this one down and open another one or get a whole new team that wants to help.

This bank is the absolute worst bank on the planet!! There is no consistency. One day they'll cash a check for you with no problem. Then when you want to deposit/cash a check in the same manner they say it's against their policy. The check will have to be returned to the person who sent it to me bc the back is endorsed with their info so I can't even deposit at another bank. Then the last time I was there they ran out of money at 11am! It's always a problem. I see so many complaints on here but don't see any attempt of Wells Fargo to make it right! What would've happened if this were a true emergency and I had to have the $ immediately? They really have to realize that we're people and deserve to be treated with respect! If there was an option for 0 stars that would've been what I chose.

This branch in Dover, DE is the worst branch! They keep the lobby doors locked and never answer the phone. Every time I go to the drive thru there is a long line. I have waited 30 minutes or more. I have filed a complaint. If I could give a rating of zero I would.

Too many suits walking around doing nothing!!! When theses suits see the line to the door and they only have one teller in front and one in drive thru, they quickly close the door they hide behind. I'm sure all of these suits are trained in performing teller tasks but I guess they feel since they get to dress up that they are above counting money!!! Not good customer service at all!!!

Unprofessional and worst bank I ever see in my life service and staff and no customer service and worst worst ever they can not even salve your related problem in bank customer service said go to the branch,and branch said get the hell out from here and don’t come back.. plz fine different bank where they think you are a customer and you gave them business,but they don’t think and they don’t deserve.zero zero STARS

If there was an option for zero stars, I would have selected 0 out of 5. I have been a loyal customer of Wells Fargo for over 15 years and have never been treated in such a poor manner as when my husband and I visited the branch. I would encourage people not to visit this location as the staff is discourteous and rude. It is worth the drive to go to Middletown and or an alternate location to receive the treatment that is due and deserved. A complaint has been filed and I hope that this is taken seriously!
