Only 1 machines work to register, I had an appointment waited over 30 minutes to be called. My Doctors office faxed my labs and have conformation it was sent, the tech didn't check the fax machine to see if was faxed. Looked at the computer and said nothing was faxed š” The staff never seems happy, maybe they're short staff or over worked.

Been there two or three times and each time Iāve been in and out. The staff is very friendly. I should note that I also take advantage of the express check-in⦠Which I would recommend

I am giving this location two stars because not all staff were unprofessional. I visited this location twice in one week, both times at 6 a.m., and had very different experiences.
My first visit was on Wednesday, January 15th, and it was excellent. From check-in to the blood draw, everything was handled professionally, and the staff were courteous and efficient.
However, my second visit on Friday, January 17th, was less pleasant. Upon arrival, I was informed that the kiosks were down, and we needed to sign in on a clipboard. While most staff handled this situation professionally and communicated well, one staff member displayed a poor attitude.
She appeared frustrated as she stared at the clipboard for an extended period before calling out names. An elderly gentleman approached her, assuming she needed assistance reading the handwriting, and introduced himself politely because he was the next on the list to be called. She responded with a glare and a rude tone, saying, āOK, sir.ā
When it was my turn, she called my name and directed me to a room for the blood draw. She was wearing a mask and a hair wrap, and her name tag was flipped, so I canāt properly identify her for this review. I mentioned that my veins are small as a precaution. She tied the band around my arm, instructed me to clench my fist, and began feeling for a vein.
After sticking me, she provided no further instructions. Naturally, I relaxed my fist, as this is what other technicians have instructed me to do in the past. She reacted by sucking her teeth and snapping, āDonāt unclench your fist because now the veinā¦ā before abruptly deciding to try the other arm.
I attempted to make small talk during the process, but her responses were short, and she appeared disinterested. When she couldnāt locate a vein in my other arm, she took my hand, positioned it, tied the band, and stuck me without warning or explanation. This was my first time having blood drawn from my hand, and when I expressed that, she simply said, āHave a nice dayā and walked away.
While I understand that everyone can have off days, this behavior felt unprofessional and dismissive. I hope this feedback helps improve the consistency of service at this location.

Extremely slow. Takes you guys 20 minutes to check in ONE patient. That's not even getting them back and out. That's only to check then in. You guys suck

Experience in the office was nice enough, in and out quick with an appointment. Iāve never waited for results this long (same test) from any other location. Iām not convinced I wasnāt overlooked, lady that returned my phone call had a serious attitude. Wouldnāt recommend dealing with this location.

We had a horrible experience, and our 14 month old needed to get his blood drawn. The lady who had checked us in was wonderful. Our experience up until a third lady came in was good. The two ladies were having a hard time looking for our son's vein. They had called in a third lady. As you can imagine, a 14 month old baby is crying and scared, unaware of what is happening. My wife started to breastfeed our son to soothe him while we were waiting for the third lady to arrive. Three to five minutes, she came in with a sour look on her face, grabbed some gloves, looked over at my wife, rolled her eyes, and walked out. We thought nothing of it at the time, maybe looking for some missing equipment. She returned five to seven minutes later, put gloves back on, and told my wife with an unpleasant tone. Are you ready? You can't be doing that. I was surprised with her attitude and demeanor. We had explained that we were just calming him down while we waited for you to return. She again gave us a sour look. We will never come back to this location. Individuals in this line of were should truly think twice or thrice if this is the kind of work they want to be in. You're in the medical field development, so common courtesy goes a long way.

My experience here was one of the worst Iāve had at an outpatient lab. The business did not seem to be functioning smoothly at all. The receptionist would call a name and not wait for the person to walk up to the window to be helped. This happened more than once and several people were standing there waiting to be helped because they didnāt give them enough time to make it to the window. I wait over 2 hours to get my labs completed. It seemed like they were only getting through 8 people or less an hour. Totally unacceptable.

If these people could read a Doctors order properly it would be fine, but when you hand them an order and it clearly says a list of things to be checked and they only do a PSA it makes you questionif they knowhow to read and what their qualifications are. I have been 2 times to labcorp and both times they've messed up the order and I've had to go back. Terrible!!

I had to get bloodwork done for a physical. The Smyrna office told me to come to Dover Labcorp because they couldnāt do an EKG for me. I was not under the impression this Labcorp didnāt do EKGs, but also it didnāt help my doctor didnāt actually put that information on my paperwork, but I remembered my doctor told me he wanted me to get it done. So when I got to the front desk, there was a woman with a mask on and I had mentioned the EKG, in which she looked at me like I was stupid, and told me they didnāt do EKGs, only bloodwork and urine. I was confused and told her the Smyrna office told me otherwise, and she told me Iād have to get it done somewhere else. Then when I asked if they had any resources for facilities that do EKGs, her response was just āNoā. She was looking at me like I had 3 heads and was incredibly smart with me, for no reason. You donāt know what people go through in their lives, and itās unnecessary for you to get smart and look at someone like theyāre stupid thatās just asking questions they donāt know. ESEPCIALLY since it looked like I was the youngest person in the whole room, I felt this woman was discriminating against me for my age/being young. Like Iām so sorry I didnāt know?!?! You couldāve done a simple āOh, Iām sorry we actually donāt do that here.ā instead of giving a stupid look behind YOUR mask and say āNo, we donāt even do that.ā and continue to stare at me with a blank look like I was the dumbest person in the room. This is a reminder to be kind to people, because now the rest of my day feels ruined when workers couldāve been a lot nicer, because that comes a long way. Healthcare facilities need to get their information right. You also wonder why people in 2024 are still wearing face masksā¦

I too have to complete bloodwork each month and this has to be the rudest, most unprofessional and disorganized staff I have ever encountered in a labcorp site⦠I had an appointment for which I checked in via the text message link and was confirmed to wait in my car as the waiting room is overflowing⦠after 10 minutes I went in to confirm they had received my checkin .. the staff rudely greeted me and stated I didnāt have an appointment I showed them my confirmation checkin and email. She said I would have to check in again at the kiosk⦠I did that then waited another 30mins and approached the desk againā¦. Still no help and told me to have a seat⦠why do we make appointments if they are not going to be honored⦠this is the only location that totally disregards the appointment process I wonder if they would like their family members treated like this from someone who is supposed to be a healthcare professional!

My son has a medical condition and does bloodwork and stool samples every two months (for the last seven years). Weāve never had a problem with the stool sample drop-offs until today. Three employees spoke condescendingly at me, belittled me, and argued with me and my son. I tried explaining our experiences (7 years worth), and the attitudes continued. When we finally were called to the registration desk, Alexa laughed at me when I became emotional. Iām happy to know that this site has such compassion toward a mother and son when theyāre at their facility to determine how bad the progression of my childās disease is.

I had a 7:15am appointment, got in before the time of my appointment and had the absolute best phlebotomist. Allissia listened to all of my concerns, I have bad veins, I faint and trauma with getting blood work done and Allissia was the absolute sweet person. She told me not to worry and didnāt make fun of me for asking for a butterfly needle. She was so quick and made sure I was comfortable. I told her that I would be asking for her specifically if I ever need to get blood work done again!
