I was here about 10 minutes ago, as soon as me and my friend, Yeliah, we saw a vicious creature standing there with her major plastic surgery face, standing in the middle of store staring at us making us feel uncomfortable and started walking up to us saying “We have a sale, buy one get one free. COME.” She made us super scared and unsafe. So we followed her and she shoved products in our faces saying “GET THIS ONE GET THIS ONE” we’ve gone to this exact JC penny our whole life and never had this experience. What really got us was when we went over to the try me section and wanted to try on a bit of a primer, she quote on quote, said “this is only for adults stop playing with this” Meanwhile we are in our teens and felt very offended. We looked at a few more testers on the shelf and her and Brenda kept following us and eyeing only us. They both started yelling at us for every little thing we did. I do not recommend this JC penny and especially these employees.

The three employees that I encountered at the Dover mall JCPenney were all extremely rude and unprofessional. They closed the dressing rooms a whole 30 minutes before they actually closed and they would not let me back in to try on one more dress. They kept announcing they were closing, and that they would “Not open the doors back up for anyone”. They all need a lesson in customer service and need to stop trying to rush people out of the store 30 minutes early. If I could give zero stars, I would.

I went to go buy clothes after a long day at work not only did I have JCPenney coupons which were NOT honored ( watch the fine print , they always get you on that ) but some of the items that were supposed to be on sale came up reg. price . Then the cashier which positively was a mgr. was rude, I asked if she had a long day and she said Yes it had been . I'm sorry I also have long days at work but I sure don't take it out on customers , take a breather lady then go back to work you're there to give Great Cust. service .

I really want to call corporate on this location, some of the workers and one of the managers are quite rude. And there’s a black lady there who is hella rude wears glasses & always has her hair in a low pony I believe. Love the selection at this store, the workers not so much. I usually shop Clearance whenever I visit this location, I had a handful of things, the older lady who’s usually at that first counter near the mall entrance rudely told me they were not clearance when I literally grabbed all of those pieces from that section. I have no problem paying non-clearance prices but that’s not my fault those Pieces were put in the wrong spot. If they were not clearance, might I add they also had clearance stickers on them, so I’m assuming a worker may have put them back in the wrong spot. Right is right and wrong is wrong. Faye I believe is her name is usually rude and dry as hell Whenever I shop this location, She could use a course in customer etiquette (so can the others)..I wish Dover had another location because I wouldn’t shop this one anymore. Proof below of one of the items I purchased (out of the bundle of other items I had being told NONE were clearance, when they actually all were).

First time Bonnie cut my hair was really good.
Second time she suddenly blew it dry, leaving the top hanging over the layers underneath.
I thought she had gotten upset by our conversation about counseling and meds.
Months later I spoke with her, asking if she had gotten upset as she didn’t finish.
She said I should have called and she would have fixed it.
I gave her another chance.
Big mistake.
I showed her a pic, blunt cut a bit above my shoulders.
She cut what she called a wedge cut. Across the back a big chunk is cut out maybe an inch long.
It will take months for it to grow back.
So you have a 30% chance of a good cut. 60% chance she will be off her meds and you will regret having Bonnie the butcher cut your hair.

It's only a matter of time before the doors will close for the final time. Entering the store at opening time and finding various displays in disarray is embarrassing. And one wonders why the chain is struggling.

If you actually take the time to look, you'll find some of the best sales and cheapest prices in this store. That includes all JCPenney stores.

The people at checkout need customer service training. Did not feel appreciated by cashier or any other associate. A friend I was with was looking at some scents bundles for men, when an associate asked if she needed help. When my friend kindly replied no, the associate stood next to her and stared at her until she felt uncomfortable enough to put the product back on the shelf. thats all have a blessed holiday, maybe some christmas cheer will help you all!

Did not care for this store. Did not have a very good selection of kids clothes or bed sheets and linens. Staff wasn't happy to be there either!
