Fire & Ice is Dover, Delaware's hottest lounge at Dover Downs Hotel & Casino, a place to kick back and take the edge off with a premium selection of drinks and music. It features special acoustic performances on Thursday nights as well as live music on Friday and Saturday nights. However, service during busy live band nights can be slow, with long waits for drinks and a noted lack of available finger foods. The attached casino is generally considered nice, with a really good selection of slots and tables that seem pretty generous, though it is mostly slots. The hotel offers awesome, clean, comfortable, and stunning rooms, often seen as good value. While check-in can be seamless, lines may be long with limited staff. Amenities include an in-room coffee maker, though breakfast is not included. The on-site Royal Prime restaurant bar receives praise for extremely good apps like crab fritters and chips and dip, and for good drinks with excellent bartenders, providing a very good social atmosphere. Some significant drawbacks are noted in certain hotel rooms, including maintenance issues like a broken fridge door, faulty toilet, noisy AC, and doors that do not shut right. A common complaint across the property is parking. While the casino has lots of parking, the huge lot fills up, making parking not as quick to find near the entrance, with specifically not enough handicapped parking spots close by. The experience can vary, leaving a disappointing first impression for some, while others find it a convenient and enjoyable destination worth revisiting.
Nice spot and good service... stopped in on 09-08-2024 @ about 11pm. The girl that waited on us was great and very nice.

Ok so checked in today.. door to fridge broke off hinge, bathroom toilet flusher broke, no thick blankets, ac makes noise when turned on, door doesn't shut right, no great 8 restaurant open no place to eat really..downhill really disapppinted.. on 8th floor no tub no trackside rooms available disappointing.
