The location was excellent for me. A lot of nice restaurants within walking distance. The room was nice, clean, and undamaged. The gym has the bare essentials, but is clean and in working order. The breakfast was of great quality. All of the staff was super friendly. The only downfall experienced is that the room is noisy. I could clearly hear conversations in the hall and adjacent rooms. I slept with the AC unit running and music playing to drown out the disruptions.

Don’t waste your money here. Home2suites down the road is way better and definitely will get your moneys worthFairfield literally cancelled my 2 night reservation and did not alert me at all. I worked a 12hr overnight shift and had to travel 1hr 30mins in the snow and purposely booked 2 nights so that I could have a room immediately upon arrival and not have to wait until the normal 3pm check in. I even called the night before and alerted them that I would not be coming until the morning and was never informed that I needed to check in before a certain time or the reservation would be cancelled. They offered no solution to reconcile the situation and would not let me book another reservation for whatever reason. All my questions were answered with “your reservation was cancelled”. Horrible customer service! Home2suites down the road accommodated me immediately and offered me a solution as opposed to leave me stranded.

Horrible experiences. I reserved with a pre pay for $107 with tax. When I received my credit card statement I was charged $189. For the past two months I've been in contact with the hotel directly and Marriott Corporate. The hotel says the problem is with Corporate and Corporate says the problem is with the hotel. I have spent literally hours between my bank, Marriott Corporate and the Fairfield in Dover. I am still out $82 with no resolution in sight.Do not trust this hotel with your credit card

I did the mobile app and went straight to my room. I immediately saw issues, meaning the ceiling and walls had water damage, but I was tired and wanted to rest. After settling in I tried to turn the TV on and it didn't work, so I called the front desk, the clerk was very apologetic and asked if I would like to be moved to another room, I stated as long as it is an upgrade. She stated that it was, long story short, I packed up and moved 3 doors down. Turns out this room is in need of renovations as well and to top it off that tv didn't work either. I informed the front desk and she stated that there was no one on site to chk it out, I just went to bed. Next morning I tried to call the front desk to verify my late chk out from the phone in the room and it didn't work. So I called from my cell phone. I was put on hold and when she came back, she was like what time you want to chk out because I have a full load of military coming in today. Mind you I am a Platinum Member, and she was more concerned with folks coming than the customers already staying in the hotel with issues. I informed her that I had requested 3pm but will be out by 2pm. Then I mentioned the issues that I have had since my arrival with both rooms, Tvs and phone. It was like I was talking on deaf ears. No apology, no offer of points or anything. I love Marriott Hotels, and believe in getting the services that I pay for, but I am sorry to say that this hotel falls short of the Marriott standards as far as the building conditions are concerned. The breakfast and most of the staff were wonderful. I will not be coming back personally, but if building conditions don't bother you then this is your place.Rooms: Rooms on the 4th floor a very much in need of renovations.

Fairfield Inn Dover just recently hosted a large travel party that I was apart of. Excellent service and staff! They made sure every detail of our stay was fully complete. I highly recommend this place to anyone who comes near the area. 10/10!!

Stayed at this hotel for a tournament held at the DE turf complex in July. Hotel location is decent relative to other offerings nearby. It is on a strip mall, but so are all other hotels. My beef with this hotel is rooted in the fact that I changed my reservation within the appropriate window to drop one nights stay, received verbal and written authorization from the hotel about the one night cancelation, and then they charged me for the canceled night anyway. This was way back in July and no one - Marriott nor hotel management - will support remediation. As a Gold Elite Marriott member who paid nearly $300 for I didn't stay in that's frustrating. I will not stay at this hotel again, and advise others to do the same. FYI, I have learned from subsequent stays in the area that the Home 2 Suites nearby is much nicer, has better breakfast and fitness center, and also customer service that isn't horrible.

This is the second time I've stayed at the Fairfield Inn & Suites with my girlfriend because we were going to a show at Dover / Bally's (Ken Jeong & Dane Cook)... We we're more than happy to return here a second time!!! Staff was wonderful especially Miss Daisy. It's less than a mile away from the casino. If you order food it comes here extremely quickly and the staff gives you a courtesy call to make sure the food arrives to the correct room. My fiance was not feeling well and decided to come in early. The hotel was quiet, clean (especially clean), and comfortable which is very very important to us. I am currently enjoying my slightly later check out that Daisy gave us anf watching MAX streaming free from my TV.... we will definitely be coming back!

This isn’t a horrible hotel. The breakfast is lame and a bit ghetto but other than that it’s a pretty decent night’s stay. Don’t recommend it on the long term. A lot of places to eat and stores nearby. Rooms are clean and no bugs. The place has an overall stench of cigarette though. Beds are comfortable.

Fine convenient location off the main Highway. But that is it. Service, Cleanliness and Customer Service is absent. Room we stayed in smelled terribly of wet musty sports equipment. (We later learned a soccer team had just stayed there for a tournament at DE Turf) When we brought it up to the manager, she was in complete denial and told us every room is clean. When we said we were unable to connect with someone at the front desk, she then complained about being short staffed and that it is hard to have someone available at all times like when we checked in late and left early in the morning. We ended up spending $100 on migraine medicine for my wife because of the smell the next day and when we called to let the hotel know, the manager told me, "What do you expect, you booked your room using points. We have paying customers that actually generate revenue for the hotel and we are short staffed." As a Marriott Platinum member, I was shocked. They don't represent he Marriott or Fairfield Brand as they should. Avoid...Avoid...Avoid!!!

I travel fairly regularly and often stay at these chains. I hate to say it, but this one felt slightly below par. The rooms were ok.When I had called the day before asking for an early check in, I was told they would try but no promises. Standard.I arrived a few hours early. After check out and there was not a car in the lot. I went to the desk and had to wait for a solid ten minutes, ringing the service bell before anyone came out. Once someone did come out I was just told flatly that all rooms open at three. And that was it. I had to seek the person out to ask if it was ok if I just waited. And I sat in the dark business center for several hours. I heard several other people coming in and getting told the same thing. It felt like a cruise ship, with people waiting for the rooms to all be opened. That said, the room was clean and comfortable.
