The cashier, Stacey is rude, mean and unprofessional. I went there yesterday to pick up my dress. I reach there at 0600 pm and Stacey the cashier told me that she has closed the computer and can’t open it. I did called her that I was on the way to pick my dress and she agreed. I reach there and told me that she can’t reopen the computer because she is closed. I plead to her to give me the dress but she didn’t. You can’t treat your customer like trash just because their color is different from you.

Capitol Cleaners has a contract with the state. I’ve been getting my uniforms cleaned for 18 years and in the Smyrna DE location I encountered an unprofessional manager. She flipped out and had a tantrum over me not having my receipt. She was speaking loud, she tossed the book on the counter with an attitude to show me that she was being inconvenienced. Her tone was condescending as she fussed at me in front of another customer, advising me of the company policy that “I must have a receipt.“ When she found the items she ignorantly asked me for my number. I’m not your child. You have to watch how you talk to people. When I advised that I also had personal items that I was picking up she acted out in the same way again. I politely answered all of her questions again and verified my phone number. She was loud and unprofessional.After I paid my $26 I politely told her that I’ve forgotten receipts before and never been treated like this. Her response was, she’s the manager and that’s why the prior employees are gone. I let her know that I’ve been to multiple locations in my 18 years of employment with the state and I’ve never had an incident like this. I’ve never encountered a rude person at any of the Capitol Cleaners locations in 18 years until today. I will be following up with her chain of command. She’s unprofessional, grouchy, and has no customer service skills at all. If you don’t like or enjoy your job, don’t take it out on the customers!

They took so long to put one zipper on my pants, they didn't have to clean, or him them. It took almost two weeks for one zipper.

I use this business regularly due to a contract with the state but not this location so much. The middle aged, short red haired lady should be reeducated regarding basic politeness. While dropping off i was asked when i’d like them back and i said i wasn’t in any rush. However, she insisted i pick. While i was taking a moment to consider my schedule and when id be available to pick up. she said “hurry up” and moments later said “ok, thursday”and “ i dont have time for this”. Im sure there are plenty of people that need a job with the current state of the economy especially people that are willing to do a much better job than the service i received today. If you’re in need of dry cleaning and have a choice, i recommend A1 cleaners even though they are more pricey you dont have to deal with unwarranted attitude.
