It was okay the customer service could have been a little bit better. I need to inform you of a 250 the $300 additional deposit that you have to leave even though they claim it's on the website they need to do that a little bit more so this way you know exactly what you getting into besides that it was a right

The staff at this location are great! I tried to call in to extend a moving truck rental and never got through to the location; I tried six times! Apparently, to extend a rental, you have to speak to the staff at the location. Nationwide customer service cannot help you with that. That was very frustrating.

Zero Stars is what this particular Budget Rental Car deserves. I am a Travel Agent. I booked a customer's reservation and paid in full 3 months in advance. Around 10 pm, the night before schedule pick up time and way after the Dover office's close time, they sent a text to my advising that they do not have the requested vehicle and the customer should go to Middletown to pick up another vehicle. No name or contact number was included in this text. Forwards the text to me. I call reservations who looks at the entire inventory and advised that no vehicles were available at any location in Delaware. When TA Customer Service opened at 9 am the day of the reservation, I called. They called the Dover location who advised them the car would be available at 10 AM as originally scheduled and the customer should come then. The customer arrives, No Car, No empathy, or Sympathy from anyone at this Store. The Customer call me upset. I call Customer Service, who calls the Store again. This time they told CS that the vehicles was on its way. Someone from Philly, PA was driving to Newark DE to pick up the vehicle to drive to Dover, DE for delivery. This just didn't ring true to me. However, they told the customer that the car would be in house by 11:30 pm. (The Office closes at Noon.) They advised the customer that they would call the customer when the vehicle arrived. The customer waits and waits and receives a voicemail at 11:59 am that the car is available to pick up. Again the office closes at noon. The customer tries to return the call immediately upon receipt. Wouldn't you know it. No one picked up. The call was actually routed to a call center who could not connect the customer to the store. The customer has just gotten off from working a 12 hour shift and was about to leave with her family for an international flight from New York. This greatly impacted the customers trip because now they had to scramble to find a way to New York. Budget Rental Care is Non-Preferred by many and now I understand why. The Customer Service is Non-Existent at this location and they can not be trusted.

The rate was fine. the SUV is fine. When I picked up the car, I noticed it was filthy on the outside. Weather is going to get bad, so I was ok with it. When I got it home to pack for our trip and put the seats down, Yuck. Garbage, food, etc. all on the floor. Driving on our trip, all I can smell is cigarette smoke. Windshield has smoke film on it, noticed that while driving at night with headlights coming at me. Also, windshield washer fluid completely empty. ? . Had to buy while on the road and paid $7.00 for a gal jug! Love those who hold us hostage. I'm sure this car was given to me prior to cleaning and I should have said something before we left.

The customer service disrespectfully continued to hang up on me. And they ran a soft pull on my credit without my consent! Illegal. They are scammers and they are so poor in customer service! I will NEVER rent from them again AND Im reporting them to the Better Business B

Legitimately the worst business I've ever gave money to. I reserved a trailer months in advance only arrive to a shop with a single tow dolly. After the manager refused to solve the issue, she assured me that it would fit my intended vehicle. I reluctantly accepted due to time constraints. The tow dolly did not fit my vehicle and resulted in undercarriage damage. Furthermore, the rental truck that was rented came with a leaky window, check engine light, and holes in the cabin of the truck that resulted in water damage. I contacted Budget only to be told "We cannot promise vehicles that are reserved, we can only offer the vehicles that we have available." I guess I don't know what it means to reserve something. Anyways, rant over, but don't think about ever using Budget, specifically this Dover location.

The woman who runs the is place is amazing. She takes care of problems, resolves issues and is always cheerful and friendly. Best customer service I have ever gotten at a rental car place all over the country. Tina you are a gem!!

Just wasted 2 hours trying to drop off our moving truck...myself and the 3 other budget customers trying to drop off cars to find a closed office, a boarded up drop box, and downright rude and hostile customer "support" at the national office. Honestly such a disappointing experience. I don't understand how we are supposed to get they keys back to Budget before our rental ending. Customer support told us to hide the keys but we would be held liable for the 16' box truck until a manager got the keys, then refused to put us in contact with a manager. Spend the extra money and rent somewhere else.

Worst customer service EVER!! Needed to cancel my reservation, I should have been charged $50 fee. They charged my Way more than that. I have called customer service 4 times. I was told I would be transferred to billing, then get disconnect each time. I called an asked for a direct number to the billing dept. I was given a phone number to France budget!! No way to get in touch with these people! Horrible service
