Super busy, noisy restaurant-bar. Was a little cold on their enclosed patio, till the finally closed the flaps. Service was amazing, as out server May had tables in 2 locations. She always had a smile and quick to get us what we needed. As far as food they shine when it comes to their Crab Cakes. Definitely get them. Sides were just okay, as well as salad. Soft shell crab was also just okay. Did I say CRAB CAKES? A definite yes.

We absolutely love Woody's! Every time we go to Rehoboth or Dewey we always eat at Woody's. The crab cakes are a must! And they allow dogs on the porch so we always get to bring our dog Cookie which makes it even more enjoyable.

I'm not really a crabcake person, but these are no ordinary crabcakes. They are basically a scoop of jumbo lumb crab and are delicious! Minimal filler and focuses more on crab

The entire staff at Woody’s is amazing especially Tim and Zach. Sitting at the bar they were both attentive with suggestions for food. They made you feel welcomed. The overall vibe of this home town bar was wonderful. I can’t say enough wonderful things about Woodys. If you are just driving through Dewey or staying near by you have to check them out.

stopped in for a late night drink, and we were met with a great time. Tim was very welcoming and helpful, and an elite bartender. we will definitely be back any time we are in town.

My family and I went to Woody's after shopping at Tangler Outlets! We ordered:•The Crabcake Sandwich w/Fries•Fried Shrimp Taco w/Fries•Turkey Reuben w/Chips• Cheeseburger w/FriesPros:•Our waitress was very nice, as well as another lady, who I believe may have been a manager or owner.•Our food came out pretty fast.Cons:•My Crabcake was not very good! Yes, lump crabmeat, but they use a sauce to bind it (I guess). That totally messed it up. They have been ranked "The Best Crabcake in Delaware"! I'm not sure how they got that title!• $2 extra for fries, and you get about 5 of them (exaggeration, but you get my drift)?!The manager/owner lady asked me how everything was when we were leaving. I told her I didn't enjoy my food, and she did say she would have compensated me if I had told her! Too late at that point, but a good mental note for YOU, if you decide to try them out!

Crab cakes are phenomenal! Beer was the coldest we've ever had...and that's a huge plus! We had the spicy shrimp as an appetizer...excellent. We came especially for the crab cakes, but noticed food going to other patrons, all looked delicious. Service, fantastic. Brittany, our server, was super, as pleasant as can be. Jack, the busboy, was always moving, quick to clear tables and assist the servers, always with a smile. The hostess, Bella, was a delight and managed the busy lunch crowd with ease. We met the manager, who was always busy and was very happy to hear our compliments. We will definitely be back, ASAP!!!

My policy is that when I go to a restaurant and the restaurant acts as if they are doing me a favor by seating and serving me then I don't go back. Woody's just ain't that great and I ain't going back for the reasons I list below.1. Parking sucks. "It's Dewey" yeah and parking for Woody's sucks about the worst in the entire town.2. Charm? No. Woody's is a run down shopping center like storefront. It's not at all charming. But we all know "it's Dewey" right? I noticed that the other true Iconic Dewey Beach establishments are being kept up. They must have newer younger owners who are investing for the future. Starboard has charm, The Bottle & Cork has charm, even Jimmy's has local charm. Woody's is just run down. I also was left with the impression that they are riding the coat-tails of Woody's in North East. Maybe it's just the same name? Whatever the case the other Woody's is great, a real Chesapeake crab house, not this one.3. Expensive. Oh but prices are high everywhere. Not $50 per person expensive everywhere for a run down storefront restaurant with average food.4. The "best in the world" or whatever their claim is for their crab cake is a huge exaggeration. The crab cake is about average for a restaurant that makes their own (vs a restaurant supply store). Nothing special. I had the crabcake sandwich and the cake was less like a pattie and more like a crab salad. It's not bad, it's just not that great. Certainly not the best at Delaware beaches or "down the ocean" in OC.Here are the No's that I encountered. No Reservations, your entire party must be present to get in line even in March when half of the tables are empty. No you can't split a check. No you shouldn't say anything to the owner because he becomes irate and will throw you out. I was warned by members of our party (locals) - don't say anything or even look at him! There are hundreds of other charming restaurants along Rt 1 that offer good food at a reasonable prices, a welcoming atmosphere, reasonably easy parking, and truly good signature dishes. There are hundreds of other restaurants that don't have a manager or owner or whatever he is with the reputation of "going off" on customers. Now for the good things:1. The bartender was friendly and provided fast service with a good pour from the tap. Even the table service for drinks was timely.2. They have a good selection of sandwiches and salads other than crab cakes. Take-out if they do it would be better than dining in I think.3.Table service was prompt and the order was accurate. They earned a star from me on this one.4. The manager did not go off on anyone while we were there.Parking: You'll have to search for parking and you know Dewey, there are maybe a dozen spots in the whole town where you can park on a side street without being towed because you are in a spot reserved for a rental house. This is just the way it is and the way it has been for the 60 years that I have been visiting Delaware Beaches. You just have to roll with it.Kid-friendliness: These folks aren't really friendly to anybody in my experience. Based on what locals have told me about the manager and his apparent temper I wouldn't think that letting your kids run around will be welcomed here.Wheelchair accessibility: I wasn't really paying close attention to ramp accessibility although I believe that there was a ramp. I am not handicapped myself but do have family members that use wheelchairs and walkers. The restaurant itself is going to be difficult for a wheelchair or walker due to the close placement of tables and narrow doors.

BEST CRAB CAKES!

Crabcakes were good but I'm Baltimore born and raised and like a little Old Bay in my cakes. Plenty of lump crab but not much flavor. I'd still say they're a best choice in the area.
