Numerous outragous and negative things with post office: the details too involved...BUT BE IT KNOWN that the employees are " union" or whatever and therefor all complaints are a waste of time..I met with main post master after a girl at counter threw my fragile box on floor like it was trash, postmaster, main branch stated " sorry, but although This girl has major attitude, I cannot reprimand, fire her due to union process"... so basically THEY run the place...my local postal person told me " do not mail checks" as THEY know how to steal them....SAD STATE OF AFFAIRS

I stopped my daughter at the Cheswold Post Office (Delaware, Kent County) today. It was convenient and on the route back home. She had to mail off an important envelope. After about 5-7 minutes, she returned to the car and shared with me her experience. She said she was greeted not by desk/window staff but by an African-American woman sweeping the floor. She didn't get a "good morning, hello, or welcome," but rather a greeting of "Where did you put your cigarette butt?" My daughter wasn't smoking a cigarette therefore no butt to discard. Hmmmmm -- it does make me wonder if this is how staff there greet all customers. What made that employee think it was okay to even ask that question without seeing a cigarette? It was my daughter's first (and probably last) visit to that post office.

I took in a pre paid label on a package and that red headed lady wouldn't take it?? I'm disabled and had to wait for her to process 2 other people. I was in such pain waiting for her to dismissed me and gave me WRONG information!! Now what do I do?? That lady was so mean.

It takes 0 effort to be nice to people and specifically the little red head is very unfriendly. The way she talks to people is just sad. Lady get some Jesus in you bc you are gonna need him. And they do not communicate with each other well. One person who I I was told was the manager told me one thg now she little red head) is telling me another. I will not be back in there. I grew up in Cheswold it has definitely went down hill. I really would like to give no stars!

I am a seller from Europe who shipped a package to this town on April 28. The employees of this post office were convinced that the address I gave on the label did not exist, and later that the package was lost where both were not true! I had to refund the buyer, and today it turned out that the package was magically found. This is a mockery. Give these people a raise or fire them off

Terrible service. The ladies behind the counter were incredibly rude, not at all helpful and acted like every question I had was a problem. All simple enough to answer, essentially yes or no questions. Similar issues in the past. Will absolutely not be using this post office again.

Didn’t like this little PO. The mailbox outside is too small to even barely put a letter in and the mail deposit inside doesn’t even allow you to put a small package inside. this isn’t 1930 anymore people mail more than just letters. They should decommission this Post Office and build back better.

Don't bother going to this post office on your lunch break because apparently no one is working during lunch and instead it's closed until they return from lunch. Just close this useless location down already or replace it with a drop box that doesn't go on lunch. Such a major inconvenience.

Awesome customer service ! Professional and polite! 5 star service regardless of which employee helps me. Convenient parking as I am disabled. They are very attentive to your needs also. There is another post office which is much much closer, but I will drive the extra distance to go to the Cheswold USPS Post Office.
