This store is a gem! Mehmet was very friendly, knowledgeable, and easy to talk to. The store has a wide selection of both small and large unique rugs. Bought a rug for my home and it’s beautiful!

Loved visiting this store! So many beautiful pieces of furniture, tapestries, jewelry and trinkets! I spent about an hour or more looking at everything and choosing little gifts to take back on my flight to Charleston, S.C. Staff is very friendly and helpful too! They recommended places to visit and eat. Will definitely stop by on my next trip to D.C.

I was visiting DC for the weekend and passed by this shop. A beautiful Tibetan rug boasting an absolutely gorgeous saffron yellow caught my eye. It really called my name and it just seemed like such a unique piece!The shop owners are absolutely lovely -- great customer service and I really enjoyed chatting with them. It made me feel even better about buying the piece and supporting such a great business.I lugged this rug all the way back home on the train and it was worth every cent and effort. I'm so happy I can give it a good home and hope to return to the shop again one day. I highly recommend anyone to stop by the store and see which rugs call to them!

I really wanted to like this store, but every single time I visit no one... and I mean no one cares enough to even speak. I even smiled at the staff there this past weekend and I got nothing. There are plenty of places to find really nice rugs.. it's DC! I think I'll go elsewhere from now on. I can't imagine why anyone would ever give their hard earned money to a business that can't even greet it's customers.

Beautiful carpets and treasures can be found at this family owned business. The owner, Mehmet Yalcin, is an expert on carpets and textiles and is a delight to speak and share a cup of tea. A wonderful store to visit. In addition to purchasing from Woven History, we’ve trusted them for repair and cleaning services. A++
