Love VIDA FITNESS AT THE YARDS. The facility is great, and the staff is amazing. I would like to recognize Vin and Ben in management who are awesome! They are friendly and make you feel welcome. Both are absolute gentlemen! Head trainer Ben is amazing and so knowledgeable! He’s fantastic. Sara, Javier, Tyrone, of course Reno and Bakari are all incredible staff members and personal trainers. Book them, you won’t regret it. They don’t just talk to talk; They walk the walk! They don’t just advise you to be healthy and work out, they do it themselves in VIDA. Nothing better than seeing the people who advise others, taking their own advice. The VIDA Fitness Facility is clean and the equipment selection makes this place a high-end health and fitness center for people who are serious, Gym people and who are serious about being healthy. VIDA, with its multiple locations is for everyone from the occasional exerciser, to the serious weight lifter. This place is half the price of EQUINOX in DC and twice as nice. Coming here and becoming a member was hands down a great decision. They even have a pool! I mean come on, this place is awesome.

I've been coming to this VIDA location for three years now, and I've been a huge fan. It has a large scope of equipment, with a good amount of powerlifting equipment & power racks, and pretty frequent classes w/ what seems like high attendance. Staff are friendly & available, and there's a ton of extra services ranging from spa treatments to water massage recovery. I generally try to avoid the peak times (6-8PM), but even during those bits you can still get a good workout if you're willing to adapt a bit.

After a year of membership, the value wasn't there. The customer experience was horrible, and it started the second you enter the property from the garage. The validation machine has been broken more than 90 days, coupled with the garage and building's neglect by the building owners. The asset managers refuse to make needed CapEx improvements, which has impacted the experience of gym users. Once you're in the gym, the experience is lack luster. The equipment was often broken. I just canceled and would love recommdations for a better fitness experience.I reached out to management and was given the card of Ben Rothkin, and was told I would receive an email to memorialize my grievances, and never received a follow up or response. The responsiveness to this post was uncharacteristically to the response received when I called and came to the facility.

We the people want to know, why Vida that claims to be so lavish and upscale? Has PINK mold growing in their steam rooms??? Could this be the reason why someone is always getting sick at this gym? We can forget about being safe from Covid and Monkeypox when you don’t follow simple standards such as cleanness and sanitation…

Love this place. Clean and makes me want to go to the gym. Only complaint is that in the locker rooms the showers are super dark. Add some light please!

Its a fine gym, however, the gym is supposed to open at 500am during the week. About three times a year no one shows up. If you're an early riser, I'd recommend going somewhere a little reliable. They have an app which the gym uses to notify members of pool closures, repairs or whatever. I have to see them send out a.late opening alert. It doesn't speak well of their respect for members' time.Edit: it's 5:30am, August 15th, 2022. Gym isn't open yet. Have to leave, and though I appreciate the responce below, it rings a little hollow.

VIDA has everything I need and want in a gym—great services and facilities, the latest equipment, top-caliber fitness and wellness pros, and a great community. It's the best gym I've ever belonged to, and the best I’ve seen in the DMV!

BUYER BEWARE. Would give 0 stars if possible. I read in reviews that this gym closed during Covid and continued to charge its members it's full monthly membership price despite being unable to use the gym for several months, and refused to let people cancel their memberships. I thought this could not be true, so I joined the gym. After I left DC I submitted according to the contract that I signed a valid cancellation and was continued to be charged past my cancellation date despite following the guidelines of THEIR contract. I filed a dispute with my credit card company regarding the charges and Vida continued to LIE to my card company about when I had submitted my cancellation request, even going so far as to say I contacted them with my cancellation far after I had moved halfway across the country and was no longer eligible to use the gym. This gym obviously has no respect or regard for its members and does not even follow their own contract. STAY AWAY. Don’t be fooled by the high Google review rating. Check Yelp. Others have stated similar issues there as well.

Vida is more than just a gym, it's a lifestyle. State of the art gym facilities with a seasonal rooftop pool, beauty salon, and even a spa! In my opinion, also some of the most reasonable monthly rates.

Love the pool, the actual gym is great, the classes are just okay, and my favorite part is the luxurious locker rooms complete with sauna and steam room!

Being new to DC I had just started my search for a new gym home. With its pretty loud curb appeal, I decided to do a tour at the Navy Yard location. Aesthetically, the gym is everything I was looking for but sadly, it was a classic bait and switch. During my tour, I was excited about the gym equipment but I made it clear that the rooftop pool was the cherry on top I was really looking forward to experiencing after each workout. Upon asking how the pool reservations worked, the sales woman explained that if you have the full access membership that includes access to the pool, you can book a cabana or daybed with no other charge other than a food/drink minimum and that you are awarded 16 pool guest passes when you sign up. Both lies.. The first day I booked a cabana I was charged $29 for EACH of my 4 guests and was told that only 2 of the 16 guest passes could be used at the pool. More lies.. My bf and I were also promised (with the screenshots to prove it) that we would each be awarded a $100 referral credit on our account once we signed up. A week after signing up, we'd come in everyday asking if the credit had been applied to our account. Not only was the answer 'no' every time, but a seemingly new rule is revealed: "credits don't hit the account until you've been a member for 1 month". Funny, because that part was never mentioned.. 2 months have passed and the credit has still not been applied. So I would be very careful falling for any promotional bait. I have brought all of these complaints to the GM. I was told by him to explain everything in an email and that he would refund the unexpected charge, finally apply the credits, and reissue 1 of 2 guest pool passes since I've only redeemed one. I sent the email almost three weeks ago, followed up twice and still nothing. At this point I am over getting the run around from this gym and will simply pursue terminating my membership. I understand working on commission but that does not give you an excuse to blatantly lie and manipulate people for monetary commission sales or otherwise. Unfortunately, my training experience with Allen and my pool customer service experience with Anaiah are about the only positive experiences I had at this gym during my two months.

Great gym and staff. Clean and newer equipment.Parking is very problematic after 3pm and routinely cars are double parked in the lot. Limited street parking and the larger lot at the grocery store doesn’t honor cross validation so you’ll end up missing a lot of workouts if your plan is to drive after work.If you don’t drive this is a great gym to go to!
