We visit DC every year for our daughter's vball tournament and decided to go work out at this location. Gym is a bit smaller than what I'm used to but they utilize the space very well and kept very clean. Have a lot of equipment for weight lifting as well as cardio. A bit expensive for one time visit at $35 but gym was nice and friendly staff!

I don't have much to complain about since I used a guest pass, but the gym is incredibly crowded! I used to be a member at Results when they were on U Street. Vida has excellent equipment and a clean environment, but being below ground doesn't suit me. I plan to check out the new Vida that recently opened in my old Results location and then decide which gym is the right fit for me to join.

I'm puzzled about why my review is suddenly "filtered," but that's Yelp for you - a bit suspicious. Perhaps now that I've given it a higher rating, it will become "unfiltered"? I want to express my gratitude to David for addressing the music volume. I've been at the gym around 6 pm over the past week, and it's been much improved. This addresses the only concern I had about the gym, and I appreciate the prompt response in resolving the issue. With the music at the current volume, I now rate Vida Logan Cir 4 stars. I kindly request to maintain this volume from 5-9. On a side note, I did speak to three different individuals at the gym over a few months about the volume before posting my review. Each mentioned that they were not allowed to lower the volume during the evening hours before 9 pm. So I guess Yelp does have an impact - although they seem to filter legitimate reviews for some reason.

Excellent gym with great staff. Highly recommend and especially liked the new member special!

Facilities are always in disrepair but fees continue to increase. Good luck getting a timely response if you want to downgrade your membership. Those supposedly in charge of membership have no authority to help make changes to your membership.

i feel kinda bad posting this as i hate to write a negative review but i'm super frustrated/disappointed. on/following black friday, i received several emails from a membership advisor at Vida logan circle, explaining information about an ongoing promotion, that sounded great to me. i responded to the email (as their email instructed) expressing my interest and didn't hear back. so i followed up to reiterate i was interested and ready to sign up, and still didn't hear back. i was surprised but figured we could resolve things over the phone, so i called and was told the membership advisor was unavailable and that they'd leave my number with him so that he could call me back. he didn't, so i tried again the next day- same thing. they took my number and i did not hear back. the following day, i was finally able to connect over the phone with another membership advisor who explained to me that the deal is no longer valid, to which i responded that i'd been trying to sign up via the deal for about a week or so at that point but didn't hear back. he told me that they missed my emails and were sorry, but that he'd check in with management to see if they could still honor the deal and would let me know by the end of the day. i did not hear back, unsurprisingly, so i stopped by in person the next day to follow up. i was told that they're sorry to have missed my emails and messages and that they'd missed a few other folks' emails about the promotion too, which is just really not great customer service. finally, he explained that i could sign up with their regular prices, but that they'd give me a few extra guest passes to make up for it (which is not even close to comparable to the black friday promo, nor do i have any need for guest passes). i'm disappointed that they were so unresponsive and that they ultimately weren't able to work things out with me because they missed my emails. i hope others have a better experience but i wanted to share mine as i am quite annoyed.

For $150/month you get nothing reallyGym is too small for the amount of people you have there, the people who work there don’t care about you and don’t respond to any issue or concern whatsoever, everyone has an attitude that you should be thankful to be there, don’t bother wasting your time or moneyEDIT: Their response is generic nothingness, I had an issue and reached out to their Corporate Office, they said they would respond and did not, after several emails trying to have a conversation to address it, I was ignored, when I tried to speak with another Manager over the phone about it they wiped their hands clean of the incident and transferred me to the person who I literally had the incident with, when I called into the Front Desk, the person told me repeatedly to “use the app” when all I wanted to do was speak with someone about the incident. They talk a big game and pretend like they’re a luxury gym but really it’s just a dark basement with little space to workout properly charging you $150/month for really not much, the only person who does care is the person who signed me up, and they definitely deserve to be in more of a decision making capacity because everyone else doesn’t behave professionally

$150/month for broken down machines, renovations, poor water temperature and temperature control and really not enough space to get in and out quickly Washington Sports Clubs, Balance, Barry's, Yoga, Pilates, etc there's way too many fitness options in this area to be beholden to a gym that charges you the most and cares to offer you the least EDIT: The Vida team also responded to my Google review with this boilerplate nonsense, they've put more effort into doing damage control about the perception of their gym rather than just having a conversation with me about my concerns

The gym is a convenient location, and has some nice equipment. But I was quite disappointed to be visiting and have to pay $40 for a day pass, only to find that the showers had freezing cold water. I went to a nearby "upper scale" gym that would allow me to go straight to events after. That didn't happen due to a non-functioning locker-room. I did raise the issue with the front desk, I did not ask for a refund, but I did ask for a discounted price for the following day. They were not willing to make any kind of adjustment. That's really poor service in my opinion. I would not recommend this for people doing day passes, as you will never know which services are actually functioning.

Pre-renovation this gym was great! Post-renovation… it feels like a planet fitness. 95% machines. There are only 5 free weight benches which people will hog for 30 plus mins while scrolling on Instagram. Very trainer saturated too! They have their clients blocking walkways with their mats. I walk past this gym to go to their U street location. Do yourself a favor and do the same.

Very bad management. Locker broken into and manager Brown could not care less. Corporate doesn't respond at all if the manager is THE issue.

RITZ PRICES, GOLD'S GYM SERVICE!TERRIBLE service at the Metropole location is disappointing, considering how expensive this place is:*No hot water for two weeks! No showers, sinks, etc.*No NOTICE of hot water--no sign at the door, no email informing customers. (And seriously, if the mgmt's response to this post is that I should proactively log into their app every day to see if a functioning gym awaits me...nope.)*How do folks shower and go to work from here?*Keep in mind, no hot water means the towels are not actually cleaned, nor are the machines serving smoothies of food.*No response from staff about multiple inquiries about lack of hot water.*On third attempt to get answers, the staff gave me an email for management, rather than have the mgmt contact me.WAY TOO EXPENSIVE FOR SUCH POOR SERVICE!

Amazing staff, specially Victor with membership. This location feels like working out with family and friends. Always friendly smiles and encouragement to have a great workout.

VIDA should no longer be considered a luxury gym. The ceiling leaks constantly, the sauna breaks every month, the AC works half the time, and management is never helpful or accommodating. I broke my collarbone and wanted to pause my membership for two months as I can’t workout. They refuse to accommodate anyone for serious injuries. I have been a loyal customer over 5 years, I kept my membership through the pandemic. The customer service is horrific. Do yourself a favor and avoid this gym at all costs.

Super clean. Friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable staff and trainers. Good class selection and locker room amenities.
