I recently had the pleasure of staying at the illustrious Viceroy Hotel, and I must say, it was an experience beyond compare. From the moment I stepped foot in the lobby, I was greeted with astounding service that set the tone for the duration of my stay. The staff members were courteous, attentive, and went above and beyond to ensure that every aspect of my visit was nothing short of exceptional. One of the most impressive aspects of my stay was the accommodation provided for my infant son. The hotel staff were incredibly understanding and accommodating, going out of their way to ensure that our needs were met and that our little one was well taken care of. This level of consideration and attentiveness made our stay all the more enjoyable, and for that, we are immensely grateful.I must extend a big thanks to Enrique, one of the hotel staff members, who provided additional support and assistance during our stay. His professionalism and dedication truly made a positive impact on our overall experience, and I am grateful for the exceptional service he provided. In conclusion, my stay at the Viceroy Hotel was nothing short of extraordinary. From the impeccable service to the clean and comfortable accommodations, every aspect of my visit surpassed my expectations. While there were additional expenses to consider, the overall experience was well worth it, and I would not hesitate to stay at this magnificent establishment again. Thank you, Viceroy Hotel, for a truly memorable and delightful stay.Rooms: Upon entering my room, I was pleased to find it immaculately clean, well-appointed, and exuding a sense of luxury that was truly unparalleled. The room service was prompt and efficient, allowing me to indulge in delectable meals without ever having to leave the comfort of my quarters.Walkability: In terms of amenities, while the parking came with a hefty price tag, it was incredibly convenient to have the option to take our vehicle in and out whenever we pleased. This level of flexibility allowed us to explore the city at our own pace, without worrying about the logistics of parking. Additionally, the hotel's prime location meant that most attractions were within walking distance, and we only found it necessary to use Uber on two occasions during our entire stay, further demonstrating the convenience of the hotel's central location.Food & drinks: Although the room service came with a hefty price tag, the quality of the food and the convenience it provided made it well worth the cost.Noteworthy details: While the hotel did come with an additional $100 in fees per night, this was made clear to me beforehand, allowing me to plan accordingly. Although the extra fees were indeed significant, the exceptional service and overall experience more than compensated for this additional expense.

Excellent stay and wonderful friendly employees. Everyone did a great job from room service, environmental services, the front desk, and the staff at the front door. The hotel was very clean and we appreciated every feature of this hotel. Will absolutely stay here again.

There were some really exceptional parts of my stay and some that were not so great, so overall I'd stay my stay was average. I would probably recommend it if you're looking in the area and would prefer a trendy smaller boutique hotel over one of the big brands. The valet when I arrived was pretty rude but the valet when I checked out was on time and loaded my luggage out of my room and into the vehicle for me which I appreciated. Overall a mixed bag but generally they did well. I think the valet fare is pricey ($50 overnight) but that's just DC prices. The front desk was polite and helpful. Standard service. The room was massive and the bed was comfortable. I booked a city view king studio and the "city view" was half obscured by a building a stones throw away and the other half you'd have to crane your head to see anything else. If they didn't advertise it I wouldn't be upset with just a standard view but don't pay extra for the "city view". The studio size was great and I do recommend upgrading in that sense. The temperature controls are an issue in this hotel. I have chronic illness issues that cause me to run really warm and the hotel is about 75 degrees in the winter which was much too warm for me. I went into my room and attempted to turn the temp down to 67. I tossed and turned all night and the temperature didn't budge. I was miserable. Day 2 I came back and the room was cooled down to the right temp, then same issue - overnight it crawled back up into the 70s despite the setting remaining the same. Other folks may have been cranking the heat in their rooms but I slept pretty poorly as a result. The fan setting also doesn't move air throughout the room so the air felt stagnant. Sorry to be so picky but the right temperature makes all the difference and is my biggest pet peeve with hotels and this issue would be a dealbreaker for me to return. The bathroom was huge and the marble floor was gorgeous. The bath products were also wonderful. The shower head was quite cheap looking and dripped and didn't quite fit with the opulence of the rest of the bathroom. The art in the bathroom was also bizarre - reminiscent of 2013 tumblr posts, a stark contrast to the hotels otherwise trendy and more mature pieces.I ordered room service the first night and after waiting over an hour the manager called to tell me they could not complete the order because they hadn't gotten my order until right before they called me. So their system was down for about an hour unbeknownst to me. They were not able to complete my order but did an excellent job remedying the situation - they sent me a salad, a desert, a liter of still water, a sparkling water and a large basket of snacks free of charge for the issue. I was very appreciate of both the hotels ownership of the issue and the quick service once they issue was identified. The food was also very good, I wish I had been able to have the hot food I ordered. Overall very impressed with their handling of the incident.Overall I felt like the room was a good value for the location and comfortable but there were enough issues with my stay where I probably wouldn't come again - I think I just got unlucky but would recommend to give it a try if you are in the area. Their service was fantastic and if you are comfortable sleeping warm then this will be a great stay.

Booked a room and tried to reach staff to extend by one day.. they were unable/unwilling to assist promptly.. since I travel every week, was not used to dealing with arrogant staff that didn't feel like helping me. Called and called to try to speak to manager to cancel my stay and no one willing to help. Feels like a very Woke property that would rather cause drama than just do thier jobs.. so many great properties in DC but this is one to avoid.

Amazing location, attentive staff, clean spaces all around. Only issue for me was the weird whirring noise from being near the alley. The coffee shop inside the hotel is a great touch and offers one of the city's most affordable selection.
