It doesn’t matter the day, the time of day, the season, how many people are in line, or what you’re coming to this Postal Service location for — these clerks *will* find a way to make your day a bit worse.I live nearby and have started avoiding this location at all costs. The clerks act put-out, are extremely unhelpful and seem miserable to be in a service position.

Weak and even discourteous postal clerks, in complete contrast to the warm and helpful and knowledgeable team that ran this location for many years. USPS is a great institution and this is unexpected.

Terrible service. I don’t understand why they are so rude and annoyed , not everyone like their job but come on, if you don’t like working here then find something else, like damn

Incredibly rude staff. Very unwilling to help and very rude when I ask a question as if I should know. It’s a shame the other post office closed and now this is the service we are stuck with.

My go to USPS office in DC. Everytime I go in I always have questions about shipping options and what packages to use, and the people here always answer all my questions and guide me.

Breathtakingly rude employees. Much worse than any other USPS branch I’ve ever visited.

Visited today and remarkably had decent service. Got to give credit where it's due and perhaps this site is on the upswing.

This office was happily able to mail the wedding invites that the one on Florida avenue wouldn’t do, and we’re so rude about that they laughed in my fiancée’s face until she cried. I heard the clerk mention that she had been there for only a few weeks, but she was infinitely more helpful than the unspeakably anti-helpful staff at the other location. Thank you so much for lightening the load of our wedding stress!

What a nasty couple of women that work there. They were staring at their phones and talking to each other, ignoring me as a customer standing there for a good few minutes. Then it was like I was bothering them. I can't say for sure, but they may be racist. Just noticed they seemed better with other customers. What horrid nasty people with nasty attitudes.

Honestly the rudest people ever. On their phones having loud conversations and ignoring customers and insulting them.

absolutely disgusted by this location. It’s the second time i’ve came here, not by choice but by necessity and have been discriminated against yet again by an african american lady. I asked her for help and she just laughed at me, she literally threw my change back, and was extremely extremely rude.

Yet again, this location is unexpectedly closed when it should be open. I’m standing here at 9:37 AM on a Monday and the door is locked with no note explaining when anyone plans to show up. Multiple times, I’ve come here in the middle of the day and found a note that the store is closed for lunch. Why can’t USPS staff this location, which is always busy, with reliable workers?

Another review confirming the rudeness and unhelpfulness of the staff here. And forget about going in the morning—this location never opens on time at 9 am. I’ve been 3 times in the past 2 weeks between 9-10 am, and each time they were closed with no employees in sight.Yesterday I went at 10:30 am and found a closed post office and a line of several people waiting, including an employee (who apparently doesn’t have a key). Finally, the supervisor casually strolled up to unlock the door, and when I pointed out they were supposed to open at 9, I received only attitude but neither an explanation nor an apology. Then we all had to wait while they got the computers up and running. Not to mention the rudeness and lack of customer service skills of the employees here. When they are not chatting loudly with one another and ignoring the line of customers, they are somewhere in the back doing who knows what while customers wait in line to be helped. For example, the other day when I visited this location, two female employees were loudly discussing their respective strategies for their online dating profiles while I stood waiting. When I finally managed to get their attention, they were visibly annoyed to be interrupted to actually do their jobs.Everyone who works here should be fired. Please save yourself a trip and wait until the afternoon to go, if you decide to visit this location at all.

Ms Summers who was the only one manning the station today - a Saturday at Christmas time - handled it all with grace, humor and professionalism. She is a credit to the USPS! Outstanding.

Don’t think our reviews will ever impact these workers, and realistically we will have to come here again, but here comes 1 more negative review confirming the rudeness, inefficiency and unhelpfulness of the staff here. They have too much power without actual customer facing skills. Did they answer “Yes I love helping others?” during the interviews. I think so. But reality? Well, read the reviews.I feel like these people aren’t grateful to have a job that is not fast paced (compared to a restaurant), sedentary (compared to delivery folks), and inside a cool, dry, safe place (compared to construction workers). They don’t have pride in themselves and what they do, and thus do a bad job. My uncle has been a USPS delivery man for over 30 years (his salary is probably triple theirs) but he loves it, he brings dog treats with him, and helps however he can. Thanks Google for creating a space for me, and you, to express our frustration. But is it our fault to want better customer service and all feel happier from small things in our daily life? I think we deserve it.
