Unfortunately I’m not local but I have loved shopping with loyalty online. Customer service is great and books are always in great condition. Can’t wait to stop by in person when I’m in the DC area!

Went here for one of my friend’s book release signings and it is an awesome bookstore! The staff is extremely helpful and their selection of books is great. This location is a little far from me but I will visit again and will also have to check out their silver spring store.

The colorful displays draw you in while the knowledgeable staff will fill your arms with recommendations. Not sure what to get the in-laws? Go with a giftcard and them pick out their own adventure!Lastly, I appreciate all Loyalty has done to bring author visits into my middle school classroom.

The book signing for 1000 words was phenomenal! The staff is so friendly and accommodating. Their energy was shared with everyone, which added to the experience. This wonderful small comfy book store offers so many diverse books. I am so glad I became a bookstore member prior to my visit. I encourage everyone to support this book store by becoming a member.FYI I grew up in DC in the Petworth neighborhood but now live in Maryland. The Petworth Library was the heart of my childhood. There were no bookstores in DC at the time.It is so wonderful to see the creative diversity which is so inspiring to me.

I came in to get books for holiday gifts across many age ranges: 5yr old, 8yr old, 17yr old, and 60+yrs old. Love how knowledgeable the staff are across all the categories and how they literally sit on the floor to go over recommendations with you. I adore this place.

This is a lovely bookstore that I'll continue to go back to. They have precious little space, so sometimes it's strange to see the books they choose to put on their shelves. They also have a nice children's section.

Loyalty bookstore is a great place to walk in and peruse. The books here are tastefully displayed and really highlight the contribution of black authors within the creative space of literary arts. The store was organized by genres and the staff were friendly. The bookstore also spotlights local authors. Treat yourself!

One of my new favorite DC bookstores! I'm a librarian and bookseller, so I have high standards for bookstores but Loyalty's DC location is everything I want in a bookstore- a highly curated, diverse selection, a cozy space, and incredibly friendly staff!
