The gourmet items are amazing and the cashier was very nice, on top of that the store's music and decorations look stunning. This store definitely deserves a 5 star view in my book.

A very nice selection of wines and unique hard to find selection of different ethnic gift items, the deli is great, nice selection of cheeses and most importantly gourmet oils and balsamic vinegars, the emphasis on quality is very evident.

We were very impressed with the wine selection at this place. A nice selection from around the world including many Greek bottles. They also had a modest collection of Greek foods and treats, but the real reason to stop is the wine collection.

This place has fabulous imported gourmet goods from various nations. I was able to find Tetra mythos Greek wine for a reasonable price and sparkling Italian water. *I frequent this market even more so now and I'm pretty impressed by their new management first of all, their awesome variety, and now offering free wine tastings on Saturdays. On my most recent visit I was able to score some delicious gourmet Spanish Cheese and Lebanese Red wine. On my visit prior I got some refreshing cold Portuguese lime sparkling water.

It's a little pricey but they have a lot of interesting Mediterranean products. They also have a bunch of chocolate truffle-like products in the front of the store which I have not tried.

There's a wide selection of oils, sauces, cheeses, and pastas here to help you host or gift a refined Mediterranean meal. They carry regional snacks that seem authentic too, plus a unique selection of wines from the region, which is a treat because DC doesn't typically embrace Greek wines for example.One thing that bugged me is when I asked if their bakery items had gelatin, and after a long pause the guy working there said "Yes, I decided not to lie to you about it" as if lying to me about something I don't eat was a valid option. So, basically I won't be back for anything that wasn't factory packaged.

I stopped in because I wanted to support a local business. The clerk was extremely rude to me and the other customer that was in the store. Maybe they were having a bad day, but there's no excuse to treat people that way. I walked out and w/o purchasing and will not be back.

I came across this store during an evening walk and, boy, am I ever glad I found it!!! The selection of authentic Greek products is surprising and satisfying for a store so relatively small. I bought some light & fluffy pita bread, some Greek butter and some of the best feta I have ever tasted. But the selection goes way beyond that. I will certainly be back many times. I do wish that the sales clerk had been better. Bad service can kill a business and the clerk who waited on me (more like, I waited on her to finish her personal phone call) will certainly negatively affect business. But, because of the great selection and close proximity to my house, I will continue to shop here. So glad to find this place!!!

Mr, Rosario The Mediterranean Way Gourmet Market runs the most authentic old school deli on the east side. What a treasure, wouldn't change a thing. His sandwich is worth the ride from anywhere.

In the front there is a refrigerator case filled with individual gourmet candies. Very nice, but when we asked for a gift box of 15 and picked the individual ones, the clerk put them into a cardboard box, no separating paper or tissue, just falling-down upside-down everywhere on top of each other. I asked him for separators and a ribbon and he said "no, we don't have them," not exactly a gift-quality item. So I only recommend purchasing their amazing, pre-packaged olive oils, candies and other items. Don't go there expecting to make a gift box of their gourmet candies.

Went into this shop for the first time today and it didn't disappoint! The clerk was so professional, helpful and friendly. Excellent customer serivce. I would definitely go back.
