Amazing amazing amazing experience!!!! I was searching for Seamoss during the pandemic shutdown. And didnt want to order it online. I came across this fresh food market and notice it was close to my house. I called to see if they were open. And the owner informed me they were closed due to the shutdown. HOWEVER, THEY STILL WERE TAKING ORDERS!! COME ON GOD!!! I placed my order for the seamoss and she had someone meet me immediately! NOW THATS WHAT YOU CALL AMAZING CUSTOMER SERVICE!! She was super nice and the process was so easy!! Thankful!! I will definitely continue to support the business!

What a great place to pick up everything, fresh fruits and some veggies, seasonings, organic snacks and drinks. They have cooking demos and give away free food and flowers on Tuesdays. This is a southeast gem they accept credit cards, cash and ebt cards

I think this store is a really great idea and has a lot of options to choose from. It's nestled inside a collective arts center that has a lot of variety of services and goods to offer to the community so it's like a one-stop shop. Honestly, the reason I think this store is great is that it allows greater access to organic foods and foods for alternative eating lifestyles in a community that may not have the same access as others. It's perfect for my sister and I, who are vegetarians, and it's within walking distance of the main strip of Anacostia. Change has to start somewhere and this store is just the beginning. So stop in and help this business grow so it can continue to change the community from within. Check out the other stores and spaces while you're there & don't forget your reusable bag.

How wonderful is it to see and patronize a grocery store dedicated to disrupting food insecurity in Anacostia. Many of the items that are sold here I have seen at other chain grocery stores. The difference here is the quality of service and experience one receives when shopping around at The Fresh Food Factory. The care to community needs and specialty items made this a particularly worthwhile shopping experience.

The Fresh Food Factory Market is a MUCH needed addition to SE DC. It's located inside the Anacostia Arts Center so the hours are dictated by the arts center, but they still keep reasonable hours. The owner is kind and passionate about breaking through the food desert in Wards 7 and 8.

The owner is kind and passionate about breaking through the food desert in Wards 7 and 8. The store itself is set up like a small organic market with fresh produce, local products, and other products. You could easily get most of your groceries here and the prices are reasonable for quality goods. They sell wine, snacks, fruit, literally almost everything! They also teach healthy cooking classes and host other events.

Anacostia has a new oasis for health & wellness. Produce, products & interactive opportunities all with the goal of loving folks to health. One visit is not enough.

This is the hottest new market in town, right in the heart of beloved Anacostia. Owned and operated by Anacostia's Amanda Stephenson, this market is a much needed addition to the neighborhood. The local area is lacking in groceries/markets. Not only does it fulfill that need, but it also provides a hip-contemporary space (within a space--the Anacostia Arts Center) that pays welcomed attention to natural and interesting market items. Take for instance their stock of plantain chips AND injera crisps (definitely my first time ever seeing the latter). My point is, when you come here you'll encounter totally unexpected finds right along with your normal grocery staples. They're fully stocked with snacks, eggs, salads, fresh fruits and vegetables, drinks (alcoholic and non), pantry items (spices, flours, rice, etc.), teas, coffees (even some unroasted), alternative mylks, candies and much more. Mrs. Anderson will take good care of you while you shop too. Such a beautiful soul. It's officially one of my favorite markets in DC!!!
