Sort of a pain to get to if you park. By metro is the way to go. I use the order pick up often and they charge for bags if you don't remind them to remove it when you bring your own. I must say this target is stocked very well and when other stores are out of items, this is the place it will be in stock.

Target located on the second floor in the mall. This is like a normal target but a step above. They had a full blown Ulta Beauty inside. That's the first I've that. I tried to go to Starbucks after but they were closed. Target was really clean but there were no workers at the registers. Only thing that was open was the self checkout.

The people running this store are useless. Nothing is ever in stock. And, if you try to order anything online for pickup, don't even bother expecting it to be there when you come in. The manager has no clue what's going on, if someone has been working on your order, if anything is in stock. She'll just be like "It's still being processed, I don't know, maybe it'll be cancelled in two or three hours. I have no way of knowing." You might as well just close this place because no one there does their job and you have a better chance of finding something from the street vendors on the sidewalk outside than finding anything in this store.

We shopped here tonight after circling the block in terrible traffic. Bought some clothing and got home to discover the plastic tags were still on them. Called their phone several times. No answer!

On June 11th 2022 at approximately 3:15pm I was racially profiled by the management at this store. As I shopped for shorts in the women's section, I was confronted by a loss prevention team member who explained that a customer reported me as stealing. While shopping, I was using a reusable bag to hold my items. Washington, District of Columbia passed the Anacostia River Clean Up and Protection Act of 2009 which requires shoppers to pay 5 cents per bag and encourages the use of reusable bags. As a result, it is common practice to use a reusable to hold items while shopping throughout stores in Washington, DC. The loss prevention team member explained to me that the police were called and waiting for me to pay for my items. At that time, another security guard approached me from the back. I explained that I had several items in my bag and I intended to pay for all items. The loss prevention team member then lectured me on the importance of not using a reusable bag to conceal items. At that point I was flabbergasted. I have never in my life stolen anything. I walked to the customer service desk to pay for my items. I was followed by 1 of the security guards to the desk. I returned a pair of shorts I purchased yesterday for my husband and then proceeded to purchase upwards of $200 in items all while being watched by security. This was one of the most embarrassing moments in my 38 years of life. I VOW to NEVER return to the Columbia Heights store. Once I returned home, I called guest relations and filed a formal complaint against the store. The complaint number is : 148398959. I would like a response regarding what will be done to resolve this issue as it has caused me much distress.

Came to pick up an order here and return something. The worker Felicia gave me an attitude for no reason at all and was really rude. Retail is literally all customer service. Choose capable employees to interact with customers.

I ventured into DC for a retail work activity.I am an independent contractor. I moved to the DC area in August of 2021. Sometimes I am a bit apprehensive about going into DC because of the traffic, narrow and one way streets and the parking. I found myself at the Columbia Heights Target store and was surprised to discover it is normal size. Not one of those bigger 2 level stores l shop at near my house in Silver Spring or one the smaller stores like the one in Chevy Chase MD on Wisconsin Avenue. There's a large well stocked freezer/dairy/ grocery department here with prices that were not noticably higher than what I am used to at stores near me (and this is DC). The Home Goods and electronics sections are very adequate in size & have all your basic items for your home & entertainment needs. The men's, women's and children's clothing departments were neat and quite well organized. Maybe because they are more medium in size they are more easily managed when it comes to tiding up by the employees? I saw & experienced friendly & helpful customer service in this part of the store. I also saw a fair amount of clearance clothing especially in the women's section which it is always fun to stop and look at when I am at Target. Who does not like to discover a hidden gem at a great price! I've got 2 grandchildren and often look through the toddler/ kid's departments. When I was ready to leave with dinner time coming up the self checkouts moved along quickly. An employee was there directing us to the next open station. Before exiting the store I asked about getting my parking ticket validated. They don't do it! As for the parking garage I found it to be fairly convenient. The biggest problem was not finding it the first time driving past the store. This put me in a traffic/construction loop through DC of more than 15 minutes. I don't know the streets & my Google map directions also seemed a bit confused! The garage has multiple levels & lots of parking spaces. Parking the wrong section you will get a bit of a walk to the elevator or stairs The biggest surprise of all was the almost reasonable parking fee! Until next time be kind to each other. #target @yelpdc #columbiaheights #dc #familyshopping

Cancelled my online pickup order most recently due to a technical issue on their side. They charge for parking and the store is always in disarray.

Amazing escape from a snowy day! Tbh lots of women's clothing in this store, felt like more than half of it. Kinda fun. Will be coming back due to the fact that this is the closest Target to my house! Gotta stay loyal.

Shelves are poorly stocked. Stuff put where it doesn't belong which makes the price wrong. Tried to get target brand peanut butter and all the jars were damaged. Wish they would clean the self checkout registers. Dirt is embedded in the cracks. Most of the workers had masks on their chin. Nose and mouth exposed.

Buyers we aware the prices in Target are going up every week and its terrible and make sure you know the prices of your items because the shelf price and the register price can be different at times.Security was following me for no reason so I had t let him know you are following the wrong person. I catch more people stealing at Target and I do not work there. Also, some of the employees are so rude. I will be recording my conversations with the employees when I need to ask for help as proof of how rude some of them can be.

What can I say? This is a Target and it has most of the usual Target services. It is very busy given that it's in the heart of Columbia Heights. Be prepared to wait in line to pay for your items, even in the self-checkout, especially during peak hours like lunch and the early evening. I will say that the associates here are extremely friendly, even during a big rush, which is refreshing. In the downside, this Target just runs out of items really quickly. I don't think I've ever finished an entire shopping list here because invariably, a few items are just not available. There is parking available in the DCUSA garage, though the elevators are rather slow (not something Target can control) - it is not the best garage but it is the most convenient, especially if you're buying multiple items.

This Target has been my local target since it opened. I have never had any complaints about employees there since they opened. I think it's a very well organized store and the people who work there are very helpful!

I walked in here one time and the employees seemed apathetic. I tried asking them about how Target Circle worked when it came to scanning the bar, and one of them just did endless rambling to me rather than just say he didn't know. Then the other cashier said she was going to get back to me, but she never did (this is despite not many people being at the store at the time). Then when it was time for me to get a parking ticket, then they said they don't give them away. Nope. I won't be returning to this location.
