Absolutely terrible, they never actually made my coffee. I was waiting for 45 minutes before I decided to leave for the airport. Please avoid this place!

Short summary: This was my first time lodging at this hotel and I loved it. I will recommend this hotel to others. I honestly don’t have any complaints to share. Hotel: The location is extremely convenient. The Spy museum is right next door, there is a mall food court downstairs, a Starbucks in the hotel lobby, a hotel restaurant and bar, you are within a 15 minute or less walk to the Wharf (an area by the wharf that has restaurants and stores and just a nice place to stroll around), and within 15 mins or less walking distance to some of the government offices. One complain that I have about hotels is that they are often poorly lit in the rooms. I light bright, lively, lighting. This room had so many lighting options (including a blue light) that I must have spent my first five minutes flipping light switches on and off to figure out which one did what. It was great. There is ample closet space, the room was clean and the staff was friendly. I couldn’t hear my neighbors at all. Staff: Donna at the front desk was marvelous. She was super patient and kind enough to explain which metro line I needed. I was hot and irritated (after walking in the DC heat lugging a suitcase after getting off the metro at the wrong spot), but she had me comfortable, smiling, and checked in quickly.

Great location to get anywhere in DC. At checkin, Lorena greeted me with a huge smile and answers to all my questions and requests! The rooms are super clean and large. Although I’m traveling for business, this hotel would be great for families, with 2 king beds, pools, easy metro access, and super helpful staff!

We are staying in the hotel with a few friends. The room is good, beds are very comfortable. Lorena was very kind , helpful and she has a lovely smile when we checked in. There is a Starbucks coffee shop and a small market if you need something urgently or you forget something. ? The breakfast has a lots of different choices. Fruits, bakeries etc. I highly recommend this hotel. Thank you

Very good stay with two children 12 and 9. The rooms are big enough for everyone, clean, not old. Windows won’t open, air condition can be loud. Breakfast is between 18 and 28$, be careful, it’s been billed depending on what you take from the buffet. Anyway, breakfast is good - but for 4 persons… kids pay 1/2. Valet parking is expensive, but we made day trips with the car, so convenient for us. First room was with Harbour view, that is facing to the Main Street and the airport and the helicopters flying over the river, day and night. We asked for a new room - after that it was the most pleasant stay of our East Coast holidays. 15th floor - top floor - pool view. Pool closes at 7pm. Opens 10am. They have a Starbucks in the hotel, but I think better then that you have a food court below the hotel - check it out for lunch or even breakfast… most places close early ~ 6pm Staff is professional but also helpful and friendly. Kudos to Maria at the front desk - she made the start of a holiday just perfect! You can walk to the national mall - we bought a scooter for the 9 year old. If you plan to visit one of the Smithsonian - it is a lot of walking and standing anyway.

1. The bathroom sink had disgusting black grime buildup along the inner ridges. I tried to clean it several times to little avail as it has likely never been cleaned before. 2. The hot water in the shower and sink smelled like sulfur and was disgusting. 3. The AC unit was unusually LOUD. In my 30+ years of world-wide business travel, I have never encountered anything like it.

Booked a stay at this hotel several weeks in advance using Hotwire and hotel cancelled my reservation the day of our stay 3 hours before check in! The lobby was FILLED with people they didn’t this to! If they don’t want to use 3rd party sellers they shouldn’t advertise with them!!! NEVER staying in a Hilton again! It was the reservation manager who cancelled all of the reservations because she was able to book the rooms directly!

Make sure you have them repeat back the order. Requested a venti to receive a grande. Staff was unhelpful to resolve.

Very aesthetically pleasant, comfortable and well-located. Lorena was extremely helpful in the checkout: thank you! Don’t miss a walk to the Wharf!. Breakfast could be improved with a wider variety of sweets

We arrived late at night. Despite the late hour we encountered a welcoming atmosphere. The staff moved quickly and efficiently to get us from our car to our room. It was a very positive experience. During our 5-day stay, Alex--whom we encountered at the front desk initially upon our arrival--impressed us daily with his personal greetings and genuinely warm personality. Hundreds of guests come and go daily--how can he remember us all?! He is the definition of hospitality! Thank you, Hilton, for a great experience!

This trip was very spur of the moment as we wanted to get out of NYC and head down to DC for a weekend getaway. Our trip was made incredibly wonderful by Lorena! From her impressive hospitality skills, we were able to enjoy all the from what the hotel offered and even gave us phenomenal tips about the area and things to do. Our trip and the stay at the hotel will always be memorable because of YOU, Lorena…..THANK YOU

The employees here are nice and prepare your orders quickly. They also give helpful suggestions for alternatives if an item in the baked goods section is missing. The way they make their drinks is also pretty consistent (I ordered here almost every morning during my weeklong stay in the hotel). They only missed one item in my order during the week once, but the service makes up for that. Location is ideal for hotel guests and is a great alternative if you don't want to eat at the hotel breakfast everyday.

As a frequent traveler to DC for business, I’ve had the chance to sample many of the city’s hotels but Hilton National Mall has become my go to. While it may be trite to say: Come for the location but stay for the quality. The hotel is located on top of the L'Enfant metro station, where all the major metro lines in DC (except the red line), stop. Smithsonian museums, the mall and the Wharf are a 10-15 minute walk away and the International Spy Museum is across the street (LPT - check out 10% discount bar code at the front desk). Another LPT - take the cab from DCA rather than Uber or Lyft - it's cheaper (~$13-15), faster and it won't cancel on you (I can't speak for IAD). Another reliable option is the metro - the yellow line takes 15 minutes from DCA to L'Enfant metro station. There are almost always cabs waiting outside the hotel, and if not, the front desk or the bell captain will call one for you. The hotel itself is newly opened in 2019. Rooms are comfortable and spacious with hardwood flooring instead of the carpet. While there have been some minor issues with HVAC in the past, and it seems that guests have some trouble with spilling things in the elevators, the front desk is always very responsive and the issues were quickly resolved. Speaking of the front desk, they are welcoming, friendly, and focused on ensuring the best possible experience for their guests (especially Alex). The Housekeeping staff reliably and efficiently clean the rooms daily (just make sure you push the button by the door, there are no door placards). While there is a food court under the hotel that has a variety of quick service options, it can get very busy with school trips and it is mainly a lunch place. Luckily there are plenty of food options at the Wharf, only a few minutes away. The hotel has a restaurant, which is quite good and offers happy hour every day 4-6 ($6 beer and wine and some substantially discounted appetizers). This is helpful, as the hotel does not have a lounge, but they do offer an $18/day food credit (depending on status). Additionally, there is a Starbucks in the lobby. While I mainly stay at the hotel for business, I can say that because of the location and amenities it is also well suited for families (they have a pool).
