I have been searching for a hot pastrami sandwich in the DMV for a while. After a Google search, I found Stachowski's. After reading the reviews and seeing a pictures of their pastrami sandwich, I made the 40 minute drive from my house to give it a try. It was phenomenal! I don't think I could put into words how good it was. Not only massive, enough for 3 half sandwiches. Tender and so flavorful, with just the right amount of fatty pieces. The spicy mustard was just right and the pickles were great. Shared this with my husband who was equally impressed and he doesn't even eat pastrami. Customer service was great. Will definitely be back.

It’s nice to have a neighborhood market but they charge a 4% card fee on all card transactions.

The deli was awesome. A bit of a walk from campus, but well worth it. No line and we ordered from the hot deli. I was told to try the pastrami on pumpernickel- it was unreal. There was nowhere inside to eat it so we just ate it on the street but it was so good. Definitely a sandwich for two people!! My friend ordered the beef dip and that had good reviews as well.If it’s your first time in Georgetown walk around. It’s a beautiful place for a stroll and it will help burn off the calories from the pastrami.

Absolutely preeminent establishment with world-class customer experience!! Never compromising on quality. Highly recommend. Don't buy the reviews knocking this place. Pay a visit and you will see them for what they are...a farce.

I realized I never reviewed Stachowski. Very brief: Mr. Stachowski knows food, and does not B.S. The price, the food quality and flavor, it's a good service to the neighborhood. My personal fav is the Turkey Club just because I can't eat beef over and over again, however good it tastes. The pastrami comes in two styles, cold and steamed (only steamed in the sandwich). Tried both, and both are awesome. I like to compliment the pastrami with some kimchi, you'll be surprised the chemistry there. As for the Katz's (gold standard) vs Stachowski, Katz's is still a clear better choice. But no shame in that really. In DC, Stachowski is the King of the people: you can't find a better spot that comes even close to this flavor within $100.

Used to be amazing. Now. Not so much. Overpriced and underwhelming

cute rustic lil store. I bought a corned beef sandwitch, and almost dislocated my jaw trying to take a bite. Pain is weakness leaving the body. 10/10 would nom again.

Sandwiches are MASSIVE so you really get your moneys worth. We liked the butcher shop dip more than the Italian. The bread is awesome too, ciabatta like.

Unpleasant experience with staff. This is not a place that the staff will try to understand or see eye to eye with their customers.

First of all I was surprised having a 4,7 rating market closed by that sells pastrami. My expectations were high as a couple of reviews mentioned this is one of the best pastramis. What I get was a total disappointment, dry, fatty and a lot of tendon. Just wasted over $25.

Went here a couple of years ago and bought my first 48oz TBone steak! I remember the gentleman behind the counter was quite the character and the expression he had on his face was priceless when I told him that's what I came in for! Asked me if I wanted him to cut it thinner for me it being such a large cut! Great local Market!
