The experience that I’ve had with Signal Federal Credit Union has been awful. I would not recommend this Credit Union to anyone. Customer Service is the worst in branch & over the phone. Truly disappointed. Closing account.

I was a member for over 20 years. The hell I went thru and still go thru is outrageous. I can't get a member service agent on the phone for any thing. A week and still no one. This is why I left. Horrible management and service ( lacking)

What reliable banking institution prevents customers access to their accounts for over 5 days. Its one thing to have a server update and maintenance but to prevent customers access to their accounts for such an extended period is poor managment and customer service. Its being held as a financial hostage. DO NOT USE this bank. And if you do have this bank I suggest you do as I do and close all your accounts something is very fishy

I live in Virginia they close their services in Virginia so I can't go to DC or Maryland as much I have a credit card bill that they won't let me pay directly at the service center and every time when I call them it's a $10 service charge to make a transaction from my other credit union facility but when I go to a service center to try and make a payment to Signal they won't let me pay my credit they are a piece of shit credit union!

Over a month ago, I deposited a check at this branch's ATM to an account I have at a credit union with reciprocity. The check cleared to my account, then a week later, Signal canceled the transaction and withdrew the funds plus interest. Signal has been completely unresponsive to my and my financial institution's inquiries as to why the transaction was canceled, nor have they returned the check.

WATCH OUT for dormancy fees! I had an account with Signal for years. I signed up for electronic statements to be green and to avoid Signal's (ridiculously high) $10 fee for paper statements. I never received any electronic statements. The CSR at Signal told me that the "website was my statement." Recently, I checked back in to see if I had any tax documents for this cycle, and was horrified to discover that Signal had been charging me $5 a month ($135 total) in dormancy fees. The CSR told me that dormancy fees are nonrefundable. So tough cookies for me. These kinds of fees are particularly galling, because the bank is using my money to make money and is ALSO charging me a fee. I am closing this account today.

Opened my account thinking the credit union would be a good idea. literally a month ago maybe less and there are already MAJOR MAJOR MAJOR PROBLEM!! NOT only do they charge you overdraft fees out of no where. BUT if you use the money in you account TO THE LAST CENT you will b charged over draft fees. They charge you for using your money claiming its the way thing post smh.. IM NOT USING MONEY THAT ISNT IN MY ACCOUNT!! ON TOP of the charging me for money that hasn't even been taken from my account. They mess up my direct deposit every week and claim its my job when I can SEE OUR PAY AT MY JOB!! thats what im in charge of!! When you call to talk to someone they are EXTREMELY RUDE LIKE YOU ARENT THE REASON THEY ARE THERE!!! they are STEALING my money from me!!! I asked to speak to someone different and a woman started YELLING telling me there isn't anyone else!!! after this direct deposit hits I will b CLOSING my account!! u can keep the 177 dollars u stole from me!! I want OUT!!!

I like the new location, very central and clean. I appreciate that they are trying to do something new rather than the typically bank teller set up. Love being able to get my debit card printed on site. Stephen was very helpful in getting me set up with some more effective accounts and a new credit card.

I opened up a checking and money market savings account. Both Brian and Stephen were very knowledgeable and helped explain the different products they offer, and helped me decide on the right account to open for my financial goals.

Terrible customer services. Tried mailing a deposit 2x w correct address. Both times returned. Probably because @ both DC addresses they list NY Ave & Pa. Ave but in both, you're forced to enter from a parallel street (I & Potomac Ave). Also, if you lose your debit card, the DC branches cant give you a new one @ the branch. Have to wait 5-12 days for it to be mailed. Dont believe the City Paper "Best of DC" rankings. Signal Bank advertised heavily in CP asking to be voted "best". If youre good, you dont have to beg for votes!!!
