The shoes were stolen from a car place the same day. I needed a pair of shoes for my Kindergartener's graduation this Friday. My mom called the store and he took care of us and shipped the shoes to my home. It's Monday and they've already arrived. The shoes fit perfect and are so cute for this special occasion. “I was googling shoe cleaning businesses near me and found Sole Wash so I called and the owner answered the phone and told me when she would be at the shop. I went the next day with my suede flats to be cleaned and although it took a little over a month to get them back due to a recent flood in the building, she did a great job. Plus first time customers get a nice discount! Parking is tight on Pennsylvania Ave SE so park around the corner or near Trader Joes and walk across the street (if you buy something at Trader Joes, they will validate your parking in their garage). The owner is super nice and very responsive to texts/calls from customers checking on the status of their shoes. I highly recommend this black owned business and wish the owner continued success.”

“This review is specifically for Brianna at the Georgetown Madewell location - she is the definition of customer service. As a regular Madewell shopper, I have encountered several issues with their system during checkout over the years. Each time I have 1) lost the deal and had to eat the cost and 2) lost time due to the fault in their system. Until today. Brianna navigated the situation with poise and finesse. As soon as the first associate said there was an issue with my gift card, I knew that I again would end up eating the full cost of my clothes. Brianna stepped in and routed the problem through Madewell’s tumultuous and ineffective customer service system. She was dedicated to finding a solution. While Madewell should devout serious time and attention to rectifying their customer service system, they should also fully recognize the true customer service genius that Brianna is. “Exceptional Service from Jennifer - Feedback on Return Policy
I wanted to take a moment to share my recent experience at Anthropologie, particularly highlighting the outstanding service I received from Jennifer, located in Georgetown.
After a disappointing experience at the Bethesda and Fairfax locations, where staff refused to assist me with returning a lilac taper candle set of 2 without a receipt, I was feeling quite frustrated. Despite explaining that I had purchased the item from the Georgetown location just a week prior and requesting that they call for my receipt number, I was met with resistance and no resolution.
However, when I returned to the Georgetown store, Jennifer went above and beyond to help me. She not only located my receipt but also confirmed that the other locations had the capability to retrieve receipt numbers from their store. While she mentioned it would take some extra time, it was reassuring to know that a solution was possible.
Jennifer's exceptional customer service made a significant difference in my experience. She was friendly, patient, and truly exemplified what excellent customer care should be. I genuinely appreciate her efforts and will remember the positive interactions I had with her - I think it would add value to Anthropologie if all staff was trained by Jennifer.
In addition to recognizing Jennifer's exemplary service, I would like to suggest that Anthropologie consider updating its return policy. A 30 day return window for customers without receipts would be more accommodating, especially when it's clear that the product has not been used. Additionally, implementing a system for customers to select receipt emails or texts upon purchase, particularly for transactions involving gift cards, would be a helpful improvement. This would prevent situations like mine, where my gift card was discarded after use.

3206 N St NW, Washington“I bought two made-to-measure shirts at this store, and they’re by far the highest quality and best-fitting MTM clothing I’ve ever bought. John and Chris were super helpful.
The only downside is it ended up taking a very long time because there was a mix-up with the manufacturer and they had to re-make the shirt after the first didn’t fit. That said, I appreciated that they immediately spotted that the first shirt didn’t fit and committed to remaking it right away. My experience with MTM has been that they often try to force you to go home with the garment even if it doesn’t fit, so I like that they were honest brokers when it came to assessing fit.
I’ll definitely buy more MTM from them as I build out my tailored-clothing wardrobe.”
