There's a lot of amazing dresses and a big selection at this store. I've come several times looking for dresses for events. Unfortunately the last time I was there today one of the attendants thought it was a good idea to follow me all over quietly as if she was my shadow. It was an unpleasant experience and I'm not sure I'll be coming back.

So I just discovered this store looking to shop at Nordstrom Rack, but didn't realize that it had been gone for a few years. Time flies... anyway, so I walk in and am greeted by a very friendly woman. I asked politely if it was ok to film for my channel about promoting the DMV area. Their are a lot of very cute, very affordable things in the store - the quality to match the price is fairly decent if you are not too picky about small details. The other staff who had a french accent was not that friendly. I was going upstairs to explore more since I've never been here and she tells me that we are not allowed to film upstairs, so I said ok - no big deal since the whole point is really to just look around and I am always looking for good places that sell party clothing. I proceed to go up. Now the problem... going around hiding and acting like NO ONE is noticing you trying to catch someone in some kind of act is weird. There are better ways to do it. Get cameras and monitor those OR make sure there is someone at the upper level at all times, so that we don't feel like we're being watched trying to steal something. The bag I carried was soooo tiny like what could I possibly fit in there? Not even one pair of flip flop would fit. It was very odd and unpleasant because not once had she asked if I need help, if I was interested in anything... not at it should matter, but not everyone that doesn't wear "designer" stuff is a thief or has no money - some of us have a lot of money, but don't walk around with Gucci sneakers and LV bags when on a little walk. I will most likely be back to actually shop for the holiday events, but I really hope the customer interaction improves.

This is a wonderful place! The owner is very nice and the employees are very helpful and genuine. The prices for such high end clothing are unbelievable compared to other stores. Sheyla and the employees make you feel like Family and the energy and love in that place is amazing. I highly recommend Sheyla Vie collections. Not only is she a great business owner, but she also is a wonderful person.

I couldn't be happier with my shopping experience at Sheyla Vie!Maria was amazing at helping me find a dress for a special occasion. I needed something flattering with a modest hemline, and she knew just where to look in their vast collection. She understood my sense of style, and helped me pick out several dresses. I walked out with the most gorgeous, flattering dress that fits me to a T, and it was on sale!I'll come back anytime I need a special occasion dress!

I was having a great day and thought I’d treat myself to a shopping day to buy some work clothes and some dresses for upcoming weddings. I walked in and was pleasantly greeted by a woman. I start browsing and notice she’s following me and eyeing me in a way that was more “I’ll catch you stealing” than it was to be helpful - super weird vibe.She tells me there is another, bigger part of the store down the street and downstairs. Seems odd but sure I’ll check it out.Walking off of the escalator down to store 2, a couple of associates greet me and ask how they can help. I explain. Need a dress or two for some upcoming weddings. It starts out fine. The “lead” employee starts by asking what my style is and if there are any must haves, stopping to emphasize that they have “sizes 00 to (gestures a fat person’s silhouette) ummm well you know big” while eyeing me up and down. Size doesn’t matter, but for context I’m an athletic, very tall, but big boned, average weight person. In normal clothes I’m a 6, maybe 8 depending on cut.I tell her I strongly prefer some sleeves on the dress. I know my body and that’s what I’d be comfortable in. She tells me I’m wrong because I’m young and should show off. I shrug it off and let her pick out options. she brings me all sleeveless dresses with sizing from 2-16. Nothing fits, except something so extremely short I wouldn’t feel comfortable sneezing in it. She tells me she’ll help with shoes too. I say great, but don’t like heels. Not that it matters that I have a medical condition that makes it near impossible to wear heels, I just don’t like them (comfort and gender norms).She brings in another dress while commenting to her associate “she doesn’t like HEELS!” And they share a laugh. Trying to diffuse, I say I’d entertain a wedge. Delighted, she asks, “what size?” I say 10. She legit scoffs, laughs and admits it’s impossible.To top it all off, I try on a dress she brought me that I hated but wanted to give a shot. As I’m about to zip up, I see a huge rip on the zipper. I immediately tell her. She comes in, gets stark and cold, and tells me “sorry this didn’t work out” - as though I was the one to break the dress.I went out to feel good about myself and left feeling so depressed I cried into my husband’s arms when I got home.Long story short, if you aren’t a size 00, short, and 100% into antiquated ideas of femininity, just pass it up.
