I arrived just before they opened at 8am and was immediately greeted and told my car would be looked at right away. In less than an hour I had a call back and was told it was all ready to pick up. Amazing service with quick and honest results.

Came to David after a dealership told me I needed thousands of dollars in repairs before a long road trip (they didn't say anything about the repairs until I told them about the trip). All of the reviews about DP Auto are true- David quickly took in my car, did an assessment and gave me an accurate timeline for when the car will need service. And based on reviews those repairs will be significantly better priced.

I called a week in advance to schedule a routine oil change. I stressed that I needed the car before 5pm because I needed to pick up my kids. (No problem! said the person on the phone) We dropped the car off at the scheduled time. Was told to park on the street. I called about 2.5 hours later to ask if they could also check the tires. This person didn't ask me for my name or my car details just kind of grunted "ok" I hear nothing...4:55pm rolls around and I hustle up to retrieve my keys. Three of the employees are just standing outside the garage chatting. I say "I'm here to pick up my car." They gesture to the office/the person who can get me my keys. I then proceed to wait several more minutes, it's past 5pm, I gotta go get my kids. Finally, I ask "Could one of you assist me? I just need to pay and get my keys, I have to pick up my children." One of those guys asks the office guy to help me. He grabs the folder with my keys in it. I ask "did you even look at my car?" "No, we didn't" I turn around and leave. No apology, no "bring it back on Monday we'll do it first thing", no offer to make it right. I will never try this place again.

I have been going to DP Auto since I moved to DC as a grad student in 2017. I've always felt like I could rely on them for timely, affordable, and high quality service. They've done everything for me from coming in early when I had to leave for a road trip to not charging me when they had to refer me to a specialist shop. Happy to be a return customer!

I had tire slowly losing air - they found a nail and fixed it in about 10 minutes and I was back on the road for a out 1/3 the cost of a new tire.

Amazing service. Honest and really good guys. I was visiting the area and had a mechanical problem on a Friday afternoon. I couldn't get my car in at the dealer and I am glad I couldn't. This team was knowledgeable, fast and really nice. Highly recommend.

Been going here since Kenny left years ago and have ALWAYS found David, Mike and the crew to be honest and very professional, unlike many people in the same business and some not so far away. If it does not need to be fixed, David will tell you, unlike others. I have happily recommended DP Auto to many friends and colleagues.

Always trustworthy and prompt. Found them when we moved to the neighborhood 15 plus years ago, and continue to be pleased with their work. Have used them for many different issues, and they are very communicative.

This wasn't a great experience. I feel like I got worked over and paid twice more than what I budgeted for after talking to them and getting "quoted". The quotes are BS... just seemed like they targeted me and called after I dropped it off with a bunch of other things wrong that needed immediate attention which also costs me hundreds more... The office is so disgusting I can't believe customers even have to go in there. I'm hella disappointed

Been going to DP for years but they really mislead me this time and it just really rubbed me the wrong way. Brought my car in with a simple tire chirp and asked they just address that. Well, they charge me $500+ for rear brakes and swear that's the issue after I ask a ton of questions. Noise returns immediately. A week later, I took it to another garage and they said DP definitely knowingly mislead me Bc there's no way that could've been the issue. Never going back.

DP Auto is as good as all the glowing reviews say it is. David is honest, knowledgeable, and very fair in pricing. This place is not showy or fancy; the work is the star of this show and it is excellent!!!
