Shanika was our real estate agent who helped us get our house and I can’t say enough good things about her and our experience! She is very big on informing and educating her clients and takes the time to really show you that. She’s very responsive and overall a great person. She has such a good and positive vibe to her, she keeps you encouraged even when things feel discouraging in the process. I’m so happy we chose her to represent us. She met our deadline as well for when we wanted to move. Her experience in real estate made answering all our questions easy and gives her knowledge on what avoid when looking at houses. If you work with her you won’t be disappointed!

Shanika Hopson is unequivocally an exceptional real estate agent. She exceeded my expectations. I was new to real estate investing and had met with several realtors that were not really interested in working with a rookie investor. Ms. Hopson on the other hand, is a pro, from the very beginning she was attentive with answering all my questions, explaining each step of the property purchase journey and helping me understand the ins and outs of purchasing investment property. She took the time to make sure I understood real estate investing terminology and helped me to contemplate the various paths to meet my investment goals. Shanika has been with me every step of the way from finding a property through the closing. Her ability to "read" the seller was priceless and resulted in negotiating an awesome price for a property in a great area. I plan on staying in the real estate investing arena for a long time and Ms. Shanika Hopson will be my go to realtor always.

Shanika is amazing! She was able to help my long distance fiancé and I, find a home that met both of our needs & that was no easy task! Although you know you’re not her only client she makes you feel as though you are. She was always super responsive and reliable. As a first time home buyer, she made the process easy to understand and had no issues talking me through everything and answering my endless questions. If and when I decide to house hunt again, she’s always going to be my first call!

I highly recommend Shanika as a realtor! Shanika helped my boyfriend and I buy our first home as we were moving from Georgia back to the D.C. area. Because this was our first home, the process was very unknown and a bit overwhelming. But Shanika held our hands through the entire process. She was always in communication with us, whether it be to update us on our next appointment to see a house, educate us on an aspect of the home-buying process, or answer any question we had. No question was too stupid, which was important for us since we were first-time home buyers. Shanika ultimately got us into our dream starter home. She wrote a strong offer that the seller countered only by offering less closing help - something we only asked for as a bonus. We could not be happier with Shanika's high-quality service.One huge benefit that Shanika brings is a good working relationship with lenders. She recommended several lenders to us. After consulting with all of them, we chose one of her recommendations. Because Shanika had a good relationship with the lender, she got them to call the seller and vouch for our financial qualifications. This support was very comforting to us and undoubtedly contributed to the smooth, quick process of getting our offer accepted within 24 hours.To make matters even more exceptional, Shanika made sure we moved in okay and (5 months later) continues to check-in on how we are adjusting to our new home. My husband and I were first time homebuyers. We had no idea what to expect from house hunting, but none of that mattered because we had Shanika. She set up a few houses for us to look at with our very young children every weekend, each time building off of the feedback we gave her from the previous house viewings. She took all the stress and guess work out. She helped manage our expectations of the whole experience because homeownership is more than viewing a few open houses. When we did find our house, she was able to answer all our questions about inspections, mortgages, taxes, etc. And after months of paperwork and waiting, Shanika came with us to collect the keys and walk through our house for the first time as Our house. If you are fortunate to get Shanika as your realtor, you will get the most determined and kindest person guiding you the place you'll call home.
