“Our son attended the toddler program here for 6 months and we were so pleased with the care the school provided to him! He started attending here at 14 months old and we saw large improvements in his development, speech and social skills. The teachers, staff and managers are all very welcoming and caring. We dropped our son off everyday feeling good about his safety, the care, and the education he was being given. We were sad to have to leave the school, but are moving out of the area and thus had to part ways. Highly recommend this daycare!”

“We absolutely love Fingerprints, and we know our toddler does too. He learns so much from the creative and age-tailored activities (we love seeing the cool things he does on the app!), he has so much fun playing with friends and on the courtyard playground, and he simply adores his teachers. From Ms. Tabithia and Ms. Judy and Ms. Kayla in infants, to Ms. Monica, Ms. Michelle, Ms. Gabie, and Ms. Destiny in toddlers, he loves his teachers like family, and so do we! We have the piece of mind that he is with attentive, warm, fun, and energetic teachers and caretakers all day, and bringing home all these new skills and milestones to boot.”

“NES has been such a wonderful school experience for our 3 year old. The teachers are professional, dedicated, and caring. The school communicates with parents constantly to provide updates and action photos during the day. Our son comes home every day and tells us of the wonderful activities he does, which we feel is paying huge dividends as far as his vocabulary and general development.”

“We can’t say enough good things about Primrose at the Parks. The staff and all the teachers are caring, kind, and knowledgeable. Our daughter has moved up through the school since she was a young infant. In all of her classrooms, the teachers have provided an exceptional level of care. They make sure our daughter is loved and actively learning while we are at work. The staff is accessible and communicative. They listen to parents’ needs, answer questions, and are quickly responsive to concerns. Our daughter is excited to go to school. She is thriving. Her development has accelerated in the almost year we’ve been at Primrose. Finding great childcare is one of the most difficult and important decisions parents have to make. We would choose Primrose at the Parks over and over again.Edit June 27 2023: We're still very happy with the care our child receives, but we do have one gripe to convey. Resolving payment conflicts is unnecessarily difficult. The school was closed for a week last winter (Dec 2022), and it was not initially announced as part of the school year. We had to arrange alternate care on relatively short notice, and we were not pro-rated for that week. Additionally, our child moved to a larger class (more students per teacher) recently, which decreases the monthly fee. However, this occurred mid-month, and it was again not automatically pro-rated.”

“We had our son in pre-K here during the pandemic, and our daughter in the program Estrellitas started to enable kids to do remote learning with supervision. Our kids learned a ton of Spanish, and did art, games, walks in the woods, field trips, and playgrounds throughout the pandemic. Their staff is incredibly committed and hard-working, and showed up to help our kids throughout the pandemic when other people did not. I would recommend the program to anyone, and will definitely have my kids back for their summer program and school breaks.”

Most of the teachers know our kids by name even if they are not in their class.FACILITIES: The facilities are beautiful with friendly inviting furniture and toys. The playgrounds and grounds are top notch.CLASSES: Our 2 year old and 4 year old adore their friends and teachers. In our 2 year old class they send detailed logs of eating, diapers and sleep. They check in every day to see our our daughter did overnight and they let us know if anything is ever off. They only allow family’s on campus.PROGRAMS: they have monthly virtual wellness and support groups. Each family has a Family Engagement Specialist who checks in frequently to make sure you have everything you need. Ours Ms. Black is outstanding!INCLUSION: they are committed to inclusion and our childrens special needs are respected and uplifted. They have all Early Intervention services right on campus and Ms. Nora is great at communicating. We highly recommend Educare for all DC residents. As a Head Start site, all DC residents are eligible and they hold most spots for folks based on income. So even if you don’t think you’ll get a spot, just apply! We are so glad that we did!!!”

“CCBC is a warm and fantastic preschool! The teachers are highly experienced (the average tenure is over 12 years!) and we love the low student to teacher ratio. The Head of School, staff and teachers are all wonderfully communicative. The parent community is active, engaged and a whole lot of fun! It makes my day to leave my daughter in the care of people who truly care about her!”

“My son started with River part way through 2nd grade and is now in the founding 4th grade class. He was having a challenge learning to read. River got him up to speed within a few months, and now he's a passionate reader. I'm so pleased with his progress. The classes have a very low student teacher ratio, with each class of about 12 - 14 children having a teacher and a co-teacher who's an SLP. He doesn't have hearing loss, but I appreciate that the school teaches students with and without hearing loss together in the same class. My child is pretty shy but has felt included since day 1. He loves going to school. I cannot say enough good things about River. I'm sorry to read the 1-star review where a person felt her child was bullied outside of school by classmates. That has not been our experience. My son is not into team sports at all but has made great friends and has frequent playdates with classmates.”

“My daughter attended MB for 6 years since the age of two. All of the teachers have been very caring and treat the children with kindness. My daughter was in the Mandarin program with Ms. Jing. While under her tutelage, my daughter has become proficient in speaking Mandarin and writing over 100 characters. In addition, she has a solid foundation in math and reading, both above grade level. During COVID and after COVID, when public schools were still trying to figure it out, the Director and Ms. Jing worked with me and created a solid curriculum to ensure my daughter would not get behind in her grade level prior to her transitioning out of the program. Ms. Jing really connected with her, cheered her on, provided a gentle push when needed, was caring, funny and met her where she was in her educational journey. She really went above and beyond during our time at Mindbloom. She is truly appreciated and made a lasting impression with me and my daughter. I truly value the time my duaghter spent with her and the MB family.”

“This is a great playground and it is wonderful that they make it open to the public on weekends (and weekday evenings, I think). The zipline is a lot of fun and a unique draw. There's a decent amount of shade. Lots of kids. And Open City nearby provides great food/coffee for reasonable prices not far away.”
