We stopped in here because we were passing by and I was out of whiskey at home. For a small place, they have a great selection and the staff was really friendly and eager to help. Chuka was a delight to chat with and told us they do some tastings on Thursdays from 5 to 8 so we will definitely be back to check that out!

Hands down the best selection and service in the DMV. They will take time to ask about your tastes and price range and walk around recommending bottles and explaining details that you would never otherwise know. It's always a learning experience and we always leave with an amazing bottle that I doubt could be found anywhere else in the region, and at a reasonable price.

Coming from Texas, where they say everything is bigger, this place is smaller, but the magnitude of warmth of the customer service, and expertise can't be compared. Definitely always visiting when I'm in the city!

Fantastic selection and super friendly staff. They have an impressive selection of scotch, ranging from independent bottlings to hard-to-find limited releases from the distilleries. The people there are very knowledgeable and seemed happy to talk about the different whisky expressions available. I am very glad I made the trip and will definitely be returning!

Not a regular but when I go the service and selection is excellent. I was concerned recently that staff would not know cider; but, of course the nice lady listened to me and directed me to a truly excellent bottle. Have also been for beer recommendations when in that neighborhood and I believe they hooked me up with a nice calvados a number of years ago. The selection is great, yes, but the staff is just gold --together this place is a great asset for person looking for something new or interesting.

Great selection and even better staff. Pick anyone, and they're extremely knowledgeable on products. Richard B recommended to me a deliciously excellent Edradour 11 year old aged in a single oloroso sherry cask. Andrew recommended to me Edradour's younger 10 year old spirit (9 months after the previous Edradour purchase) aged all its years in a single madeira cask, which was nothing short of tremendous on first pour. In my honest opinion, Scheiders is the best liquor store in the district. I price compare and they typically carry the best price, the selection is specialized as well as all encompassing, and most importantly you have staff that know what they're doing. The only issue with the review is that it's capped at 5 stars.

An institution. The wine and liquor selection is out of this world and so is the customer service. We need more places like this in DC.
