Called the bakery to get a cake made no one answer the phone for 2 days keeped going back to customer service and they couldn’t get no one on the line this is absolutely ridiculous especially when a important event is coming up this bakery isn’t trustworthy not like the old Safeway anyway… truly unfortunate!

I usually work with Marcus & Dameon in the deli department. They are very kind and professional. In fact the whole entire deli department make sure I'm happy every time I come in there. I place my orders and they make them so beautiful and it's so good. They make sure it's on time and made professional. I Love the deli department. Keep up the good work. Marcus is the BEST!!!!!! He work the heck out of that department.

Special shout-out to the 14th St SE Safeway team on a busy Saturday before Thanksgiving. The gentleman who helped me find a cart, the produce employee who helped my husband find what he needed, the cheerful check-out person who opened a register lane when things got busy and was so kind about our huge quantity. We really appreciate the neighborhood feeling and going the extra mile.

Avoid the pharmacy here. The employees don’t seem to understand that customers at a pharmacy are patients who need medicine, and are so difficult about answering questions or giving info about when a prescription will be ready. They just say you’ll get a text message, but then they entered my phone number incorrectly so the only way I knew my prescription was ready was because I called to check. Really miserable experience waiting a day longer than needed.

Did you know that using the self checkout, if you have more than 15 items, is reason enough for a Safeway employee to get a security guard? Oh, and for the security guard to tell the employee to “watch her to be sure she doesn’t take anything.” The sign says that the self checkout is for “about 15 items.” Regardless of the “Safeway policy” it doesn’t seem to be reason to treat a customer with such hostility.

Very disappointed with Safeway on Capitol Hill Potomac Ave today. Had to wait 15 minutes for someone to unlock Laundry detergent cabinet, cashier's kept saying their line, were closed, forcing people to jump from lane to lane, so very UNPROFESSIONAL!!! Cashiers having bad attitudes. This Safeway is starting to remind me of the one on Minnesota Ave. Catch that tea....
