Worst store to shop . Security guard seating in a chair having his hands in his jacket . When ask which way is rest room . Looking me like I m asking something wrong . Rest room were lockers asking to go customer service , no one at customer service . U go back to security , he respond , I told u where is rest room . I ask employee, they said they don’t have code .
Hold the for 20 min . Wow , lord , I will make sure never ever visit those stores in DC

Worst safeway I've been to in my life! Walking to the entrance it smells like urine, all the usable carts were outside, the ones inside the entrance were all broken. The selection is very lack luster and limited, I couldn't find half of what I came to the store for. Very few staff in store to help and the prices are the most expensive in the region. Completely unacceptable, this store needs new management or to be shut down completely

I will like to updated my review that I had did 2 years ago. On Maryland Ave NE. Finally this safeway have carts and basket but the food price have went up very expensive! Like they bag of clams use to be $10.99 now it's $5.99lbs so when the guy weight the clams it came up to $26.99 for one bag!! The sad part about it this the only Safeway on Maryland Ave NE that went up on their clams. Then their eggs use to be $6.99 for 30 eggs now it's $ 7.99. Now let talk about the bakery..its so hard to order cakes there because nobody barely be back there and the cakes prices is ridiculous no good quality whats so ever! It's like every sense the Safeway on Maryland Ave NE put in new stuff to stop ppls from stealing they are taking it out on innocent ppls by rising the prices on food and once again the stuff that be on sale in the paper that Safeway NEVER had the stuff on sale. I think they be hiding for themselves and make us paying high price stuff. So once again this safeway is straight trash I rather shop at the Safeway store on 14th street NE

Reeks of foul spoiled meat at entrance, shelves half empty. Very sad. Seems to need new management.

The brands/items that I use were not available. There were things on the shelves but not what I use so I still need to go shop. I tried some new brands so I don't go hungry until I can make the time to try again. Very frustrating.

This bathroom is unacceptable. Although this is called Safeway, ITS NOT A SAFE PLACE. This is a grocery store located in the nation’s capital. You can’t assign anyone to keep the bathroom clean? This is my third time coming here and seeing something like this. Whoever is in charge of this store doesn’t care about the store or the customers. Obviously they only care about opening the doors to make money. How is this safe? Who regulates this? I’m going to send out some emails and pictures! If you are somebody visiting the store and you have to use the bathroom, wear a diaper because this store is a dirty place. There are people outside begging for money. Y’all can’t pay them to keep the bathroom clean? It’s a reflection of the store and now makes me question the meat and produce handling. I will NOT shop here again. Mind you it’s only 11:27 am. The bathroom hasn’t been clean from yesterday. If none of the workers are willing to clean the bathroom, why did you hire them??? The bathroom is important, all humans use the bathroom.

I went here today to the bakery. The young lady at the bakery was very polite when taking my order. But something I noticed was that she was running around doing everything in the bakery. She appeared exhausted and overwhelmed. I asked her was she the only worker at the bakery and she didn’t answer. It’s so sad that you have a very good worker that’s over worked for I’m sure a small pay. I told her plainly that she’s being used and abused and should consider other employment. She was preparing bake goods, decorating a cake and cleaning up behind what appeared to me to be someone else who clearly should and would clean behind themselves. I stay in the store and took a video of what I believe is a mistreatment of an employee which is totally ridiculous and should be reported. I believe the video will show the young lady crying because she was so overwhelmed and overworked. She should really get a new job because I wouldn’t tolerate it and I let it be known to her as well.

I was in the customer service line and it was about five people in front of me and we're just standing around. I was not feeling well this day, I'm disabled. So I asked where is the customer service person. I was told she was in the back room doing something. Really, when the line was getting longer and that's the excuse she's doing something. I ended up leaving. As I said I'm disabled and I had to leave the area to take care of my business. I'm going to leave that Safeway alone. It's a waste of time. Two thumbs down for this rachet Safeway store.??

The bathrooms at this particular Safeway needs to be sanitized and cleaned. Looks like the bathrooms get abandoned all week! There was so much disgusting stuff in that bathroom I couldn't believe this was a Safeway. More like the "worst way" possible to keep a bathroom clean. It was really bad in there.
