This place is often bare and smells like pee.....So much so I had to shop with my shirt over my nose. Expect panhandling outside on the sidewalk too. It feels super unsafe if you shop after sundown. I will only shop here as an absolute last resort for an item I cannot live without.

I've gone to this place for years but it's always had issues that seem to be getting worse lately. Many sale items are good deals and generally you can trust that items aren't expired, but it seems like with increasing frequency the sales aren't recognized at checkout. They've always been understaffed but it seems worse lately and clearly they're not sufficiently keeping their signs and checkout system in sync.
Don't underestimate how aggravating this is for customers. Simple way to avoid these problems: have a rule that the sale should be added in the checkout system before the sale sign is added and removed after the sale sign is removed, no exceptions.

I was at this Safeway a little after 8pm. The cashiers are very nice and helpful and friendly every time I am here but tonight I went to the deli area to buy some salads and as I approached the female working there was on the phone and turned her back to me. I waited a while then she started running the water in the sink. I just wanted to know if she was still open so I could wait. I said excuse me about five times and she completely ignored me and kept talking on her phone. Then I finally yelled “excuse me” and she flipped out and said why did I yell. I told her I tried to get her attention many times before I yelled! She said she was closed which was what I wanted to know. I took a coupon from the counter and threw the coupon book back on the counter but it slid off the counter and went into her area. She got violently angry and ran over to the cashiers angrily complaining about me. I went to pay for my purchases and she was threatening me and I told her to call the police. The cashiers were witnesses to all this. She finally went away and I was able to pay for my items. It was a bit scary being chased in the store by an employee. I think she is incredibly rude and ignores the customers and has a horrible attitude and anger problem. As I said earlier the rest of the employees there were very nice and I have only had good experiences at this store until tonight.

I'm on vacation, just shopped there. Small and cozy, good variety of items. Their fruit salad bowl is amazing. Great place.

This is a very friendly safeway, the cashier greeted me as I walked in. It was very clean and had everything we need, I picked up some pasta and broccoli, and the self-checkout area is large, and we were out the door quickly.

They claim to take Apple Pay but their system is always “down” when a customer attempts to use it.

Small Safeway in a convenient location. Decently stocked when I have been there. There is no parking garage at this location.
