Very reliable service. Unfortunately, they nickel and dime you with fees, and my service rate went up by 50% in just one year. Customer service staff are friendly and helpful, but the company operates like it is still the 1980s. Except for paying your bill, you cannot perform account maintenance yourself online, you MUST CALL. When you disconnect service, you do not get anything in writing from them confirming the disconnect date or time. In the meantime, maybe they may send you another bill for the next billing period even though you requested to disconnect service, meaning you have to call again to get clarification. This company needs to get with the times and stop abusing their customers with unfriendly practices. Again, very reliable and fast Internet service; their infrastructure seems great. Too bad about their management and lack of transparency.

I gave 1 star because although the service was reliable, they nickel and dime you with charges. I've been with them about 4 years and every year they raised the charge of something. Usually they raised the cost 2 to 3 times per year. Last year, I called and asked for a better rate and was told to get my own router to save money. Today, after I saw another increase I cancelled. The worst part of canceling today is that I was told I would be billed for 5 more days despite canceling. It's very rare that I would post such a negative review, but Astound really needs to know that it has to stop taking advantage of its customers.

I have been a customer with RCN for over a year now and I can say from experience there must be better out there. I thought that I would get a great deal with great Internet service, but there were too many times I had to pay for their mistakes. I made an appointment to transfer my service with one of their reps, only to wait for the technician to arrive 4 hours later after my appointment time and without so much as a discount or waiver for it. Plus, I was charged for a phone that I am no longer using under their service, which I cancelled 2 weeks before my billing period began.

Do not trust this company any ads. They will charge you more and more bucks. This company will give you about 20 bucks for a month in the beginning, and then they will charge you about 70 after two years and without announcement.

This company is far the WORST company I’ve EVER had. They over charged me and come to find out I had to pay for the stupid box and only get refunded 80 dollars from it right after you say you don’t want ANY services with them. I’m telling you all DON’T EVER SIGN UP TO THIS COMPANY they will rip you off because they only care about your MONEY more not about the IMPORTANCES of helping the guest out and ensuring them making the guest happy and have a good experience but instead it’s the opposite. If it had zero stars this place has earned it from the start to end. Please don’t come to this place AVOID at all cost.

They tell you and send you link for acp . then when nane and address is filled in a window pops up saying service is not available in area,how tf is that when I have astound phone and internet, just want to use acp I been approved for from using link for acp from snap,,,?????,I give thim information on my application approval

They will not pay technicians on the weekend to fix any problems, if you enjoy not having wifi for extended periods of time and paying 60 plus for it then RCN is your choice! But it will never be mine again!Please let me know how I can give you guys zero stars!Thanks (hopefully you can at least help me with something)

Stay away. They regularly pad your bill with unjustifiable stealth charges. I'm tired of disputing charges with them so am firing them.

We are very pleased with the service Astound offers. Phone calls are shorter, and the phone representatives can answer our questions without endless redirecting us. Also the technicians are extremely knowledgable, helpful, and they treat our home respectfully. There's no trash left behind, no ridiculous wiring on the outside of our home; no mud, dirt, and drilling dust all over the floor. Astound has always offered the most professional customer service. We highly recommend Astound!!

The agents don't have ONE sales pitch. First, it was one month free, $100 GC, free installation. When I called back after they cancelled the installation, I had to place my order once again. The second agent said no $100 GC after "keeping" the service for 3 months. When the statement came, there was no free month of service. I told the last agent that their company should be transparent. The customer should be told what to expect whether they like to hear it or not!

Bad internet, Bad Service, Not 1080p. They say your internet speed is 100 but actually 15. I just called for help and I’m on hold for over 40 mins. Not acceptable.
