The dude that works there is so rude. He's patronizing and talks down to customers - making everyone feel like he's doing us a favor by helping us find shoes that fit our kids. And if you ask for a different color or type of shoe than he's determined you should get? Forget it. You're much better off going to Shoe Train in Potomac. They're helpful, patient and...great with kids. Imagine that!

Do you like friendly people? Then shop here!Didn’t go in to purchase anything, just wanted to see a particular shoe in person.I was greeted by three super friendly and helpful employees who were so welcoming and friendly.I’m definitely going back here and giving them my business!I suggest you give them a try!

once I went to drop off some shoes, there was a super angry brunette girl. I don't go back there anymore.!

I’m sorry not to be able to replicate the good reviews I’ve seen here. I live in the neighborhood and have come several times to look at/buy shoes for my two growing girls. The prices are high, but I don’t mind if we can support a local business. However, every time we’ve come, the staff have been really abrupt and even outright rude. The first few times I thought it was because they were busy, which is somewhat excusable. This time, no one else was in the store and I pointed to a box on the shelf to ask if I could look at the shoes. I was told - rudely - not to pull shoes off the wall (I hadn’t touched them) and to just tell them if I wanted to look at anything (exactly what I did). I’m glad others have positive experiences, but I will not be returning.Update: Within an hour of leaving the store, I found the same shoes I'd wanted to look at (based on the floor sample) online for 2/3 the price ($40, rather than $65). I would have bought them at markup in store if they hadn't been so unnecessarily rude - but happy not to have spent the extra money, and won't again.

I am absolutely delighted to share my outstanding experience at Ramer's Shoes. This gem of a store offers a wide variety of children's footwear, backed by exceptional customer service and expertise. The store radiated warmth and positivity. I was immediately greeted. The staff displayed an unparalleled passion for helping customers find the perfect fit for their little ones. The specialist expertly guided me to this option based on my child's needs, and the shoes have already made a significant impact on my child's walking confidence and comfort. My three kids walked away happier. Ramer's Shoes' customer-centric approach truly sets them apart from other retailers. In conclusion, I wholeheartedly endorse Ramer's Shoes for any parent seeking top-quality, fashionable, and supportive footwear for their children. The exceptional customer service, comprehensive selection, and enjoyable shopping atmosphere make Ramer's Shoes the go-to destination for all your children's footwear needs.

Took my son here for his first shoe fitting at almost 2 years old and I'm mad I didn't do it sooner! We got great service and my son who is picky about shoes didn't fuss at all. We got an accurate measurement and each shoe he tried they made sure he was walking well in them. Much better experience than ordering online and hoping the shoes will fit. We'll be back when he outgrows this pair and for each pair after that.

Kind and exactly what we wanted. My toddler meaningfully engaged with the sales staff, which he never does. They were just that good. Thanks from Oscar and Wally!

Shopping at Ramers yesterday was tremendously fun. Will is a dedicated and kind professional who took great care in making sure both of our grandsons had new shoes that were properly fitted. He also refused to sell us a pair that would be good in 6 months, because "you can't really know what size these boys will be." I am grateful for his honesty. We will be back! PS - the inventory is astounding. This small store is packed floor to ceiling with children's shoes of every description.

Had an amazing first experience over the weekend. I was a bit overwhelmed at first because there were so many customers being helped when I first walked in. However, within about 5 mins I was offered help. The man who helped me was extremely personable and made my two year old daughter feel comfortable to ask for what she wanted. Although the guy that helped us was planting seeds to get my daughter to one day be a Kappa Sweetheart, he was still a pretty nice guy lol. Will be back in a few months when it's time for new shoes!

Amazing first experience for our little one. Outstanding customer service from the gentleman who had my daughter smiling from ear to ear. Great overall experience. We will return!

This is a store of generations. I got my shoes here when I was a kid and now I get shoes for my kids. I’ve always loved the atmosphere. They are SO great with kids of all ages. The people who work here care about getting your child a quality shoe that will last until they grow out of it. They make great suggestions. My kids are always on their best behavior because they know they’ll get a lollipop when we’re done. Highly recommend.

Nice shoes for toddlers. It's hard to find a shoe store these days that will measure a child's feet and find the right shoes for them. This place still does it.

In general, my family and I love this store. It's adorable, the shoe selection is great and my kids leave very happy. However, I have now had two weird and unpleasant experiences that left me very surprised. A salesman who previously was nothing but professional and kind was condescending, angry when I asked the shoe sizes, and made some pretty rude remarks under his breath. It was very surprising and I chocked up to a bad day, but the second time there were still some very rude/passive-aggressive remarks about the children's shoes and how they were in the wrong sizes seeming to blame me, and anger when I asked what their sizes were. I'm on the fence about going back because it's a great store but also maybe don't be rude to your customers?!

Hands down the best children's shoe store! They go above and beyond, and even when they are busy, they have excellent customer service.

We have frequented Ramers for years and our last two experiences have been terrible. Today the salesman left my son crying and turned his back to us and started helping another customer. My son is 5 and went up to this man who we have bought shoes from dozens of time before. He's sobbing and says can I get the last shoes I tried on. He just ignored him. Like he wasn't even there. I wouldn't have bought them as my son cried that they hurt when he tried to walk around with them but the guy basically would only try 3 shoes per kid. I have 3 kids and left without new shoes after waiting in line to get in and obviously driving 30min each way. I will never go back. I have never thought the store was as amazing as people said but the last two trips have sealed the deal. I carried two kids totaling nearly 100lbs out as they cried.
