“By far one of the best USPS locations in DC wish this locations was my local USPS store since it’s couple blocks down the street…don’t know why north capital is my local USPS…..but for sure will be using this location for shipping anything moving forward……not only were they professional but they even walked me through each step of the way to send an International package as well…….highly recommended location and will be back for sure……and as soon as I paid and they scanned my package I got the status update right away on my USPS app……not like north capital which never updated my status tracking and lost my package even after paying full price for tracking an envelope……a freaking envelope I laid tracking for still is missing and still has not been scanned……please avoid north capital location for shipping anything out……”

“I showed up behind a long line 20 minutes before close thinking I might be out of luck. The woman working managed to get everyone sorted out, advised me on shipping options, and I was checked out with 10 minutes to spare.”
“Had a wonderful experience at this USPS! Both workers I interacted with were so kind and patient, and very helpful when I wasn’t sure the best way to proceed. Also got everything done fairly quickly, and the line moved fast (I went Saturday morning around 9:10am).”
“For the June 19 holiday at this location, the lobby is open for self-service only. The counter is closed, no staff members. The USPS barcode scanner seemed not working, it kept saying invalid code.”
“This is a federal building. No packages are allowed to enter without Govt ID. Regular Post Office business is allowed by public, ie stamps, envelopes and passports”

“The workers here are incredibly kind and helpful. Despite an overall rude customer base, the workers are purposeful and excellent in their reactions to screaming and rudeness. Workers: 12/10, incredible experience. 0, it seems this location is inappropriately understaffed to a point of detriment to the workers. They shouldn’t have to deal with constant harassment due to clear mismanagement. Customer base: -100/10, rude, inappropriate, and abusive toward workers. Do better.”

“I like this post office. The lady who works there is very nice, I have never had any mail lost and there is seldom a long line. I also like the selection of greeting cards that they have for sale. I noticed several negative reviews and I felt that I had to add a positive one because my experience here has always been positive. I hope yours will be too. Thanks.”
“The Longworth House Office Building Post Office is quite simply the best US Post Office I have encountered anywhere. The lines move quickly, the staff is friendly and they always have an abundance of stamps and mailing supplies. Mail is dispatched in the morning and after 4:00 p,m, in the afternoon. Staff will provide a special manual cancellation if you ask for it. The post office is located in the basement of the Longworth Building, but is open to the public. You will have to go through security upon entering the Capitol complex. It is easily reached by tunnel from the Cannon and Rayburn buildings.”
“Needed 3 passports for the kids. Printed out the forms ahead of time and showed up a little early for the appointment. Staff got us right in and was very helpful getting everything processed.”

I told her to be safe (as it would be nice if there was more safety protocols in place there) and that her service, relatability and energy was definitely something USPS can be proud to have onboard.”

“Honest to God my most favorite post office. Idk how they have such low reviews, im a regular and the ladies there always treat me with such kindness. If you are rude to them they handle it with professionalism, ive witnessed rude impatient customers over the last 2 years and never once have they ever gotten out of character. I never write reviews really, but their characters alone have compelled me to do so. I never have any issues mailing or buying, if you dont know how to do something they will kindly let you know what you need to do. Love all the ladies! So so kind. 10/10 post office.”
“This post office is actually solid. A lady unlocked their door and warmly welcomed me in promptly at the 9 AM opening time. I had come to retrieve a package, and the clerk was ready to efficiently and professionally provide the important and valuable parcel to me without any hassle.
DC had issues with mail delivery reliability early in the pandemic, but this post office and the mail carriers are back on their game now.”
