My daughter and I needed several services as we were attending a wedding from out of town. We needed a hair cut blow dries and styling the ratings for this salon are not deserved and I admit I was nervous to use them because of yelp. They reassured us that they could do what we requested. Her hair was perfect as was my makeup and the styling and makeup . We were taken on time and our service was done quickly but with care . The previous ratings are unfair and not accurate .i live in Los Angeles where standards are high so I would recommend this salon

I have been going to Lidia for waxing services since 2010. She does the perfect bikini wax. It's always smooth, precise and minimal pain. She's also very kind, very wise and very calming.

Hands down, it was the worst spa experience ever! I was looking forward to a relaxing and rejuvenating facial at PIAF Salon and Day Spa. I had done some research and landed on this place due to the proximity to my hotel. I typically read reviews with a 'grain of salt'; this place had some good and bad. I should have listened to the bad ones. I called in advance and asked a couple of questions then decided to book my facial on-line. The manager called me a day later to confirm the type of facial I wanted and I reconfirmed a micro-dermabrasion. I arrived at 10:53am for my 11am appointment, my estheticians arrived at 11:07am clearly stressed and late for my appointment. By the time I got into the room and on the table it was 11:15am. When she came back into the room, I reconfirmed that she was doing the Micro-dermabrasion facial. She had to go get the machine as she was not prepared. She rushed through my facial being very rough and abrasive while applying and removing products. At one point, I asked her to slow down and that I wasn't in a hurry. This was after I realized I was clenching my fist and feeling stressed. On top of this, I felt that she was trying to upsell me the entire time. Do you need to get your hair done? how about your nails? I finally landed on adding an eyebrow and lip wax to the service. I finished at 12:05, and when I left the room she was already on to her next client - hence the rush! However, this wasn't the worst part. When I went to pay, the manager at the front desk charged me $195. I asked for a price list and then asked why it was so much, Microdermabrasion facial was $110, Eyebrow wax $20, and lip wax $10. Shouldn't that be $140? She then replied, "You got an oxygen facial". I said, "No, I did not, It was just a basic facial". Then she replied and told me, "We're not dishonest and not trying to pull a fast one over on you". Wow, I couldn't believe what I just heard. They were dishonest and completely took advantage of me. Because I don't like confrontation, I let it go and have regretted it ever since. I'm not sure what the disconnect was but I left feeling disappointed and completely taken advantage of. The bottom line, they are dishonest and not professional in any sense of the word. I have had many facials and this one not only damaged my face, it left me feeling very disappointed and disrespected as a customer. Make sure you confirm your pricing before your service, ladies. Better yet, find a more professional salon.

I have been looking forward to trying this place, but I made an appointment for eyelash tinting on a Saturday and when I got to the salon at the time of my appointment the person responsible for my service had left for the day already. I rebooked an appointment for the following week and when I showed up again the shop was closed. I'm bummed because the reviews for this place seemed good, but they seem to not care to honor their appointments or even let their customers know that they won't be there. Unreliable and unprofessional.

I went to the salon to get a facial done by Camely and it was amazing! She was waiting for me when I arrived, took me back to her area, and gave me the best deep cleansing facial. I felt my skin was looking really dull and at 47 I just didn't feel like I had any glow. After the facial my skin looked brighter and nicely moisturized. She didn't leave my skin looking greasy like I have experienced with other facials. She knew exactly what to do with my skin, took into account my skin tone, and used products that where best for my skin type. I came in looking every bit of 47, maybe older, and left feeling 37. I will definitely be back. It was well worth it!

This review is primarily for Lidia Schaefer. As other reviewers have mentioned, she is a wonderful esthetician with a pleasant and calm demeanor. I followed her from a previous salon and her quality remains the same. I've had no issue with booking same day and it's never too busy during my visit. It's downtown yet super quiet. While I wouldn't describe the ambiance as spa-like, it's not bad. An option if you're nearby...be sure to request Lidia!

I’m visiting from Toronto and happened to stumble across Piaf on Google as I was searching local beauty salons. From the moment I entered I was treated with exceptional customer service. The wax service from Lydia was absolutely wonderful, she ensured I was comfortable the entire time and was such a sweetheart.
