A great grocer with a good selection of Asian goods you might have trouble finding elsewhere.

Was excited to see they had warm food on top of their extensive options of produce and other Asian items to offer. The chicken skewers were looking so good I had to grab two and so glad that I did ! Once I turned the corner to the other side of their stand I saw that they had kimchi, which let me you is like no kimchi I've ever had before. It tasted like the homemade version rather than that grocery store bought one. I was so excited to to taste what might just be in house made kimchi from the owners but if it isn't it sure taste like it could be. I'm coming back here for sure, love the concept and the options !

Love, love, love this place! I was walking around Eastern Market and as I entered the indoor section, I began seeing so many people walking around with skewers. After tracking down this little booth, I knew I had found my plug for some amazing Asian food. The BBQ Pork meat stick is to die for. It was so full of flavor and perfect to carry around while browsing the other booths in the area. The serving of Japchae was much larger than I had initially thought and very fairly priced compared to some of the other places in the city. The noodles themselves were light and savory! Finally, the cashiers were so so sweet. The line was long (as it should be), but the ladies behind the counter made sure to take care of everyone. They were incredibly personable and efficient. I will absolutely be returning in the future.

So tasty! We were visiting Eastern Market for lunch and were kind of surprised at the apparent lack of vegan food items as we walked through the market, so we were delighted to find Paik Produce and their selection of prepared foods just before the exit. The very helpful person at the counter showed us which items were vegan, and we ended up going with the japchae and vegetable dumplings, which definitely hit the spot. Would definitely go back.

Pretty expensive, and not all prices are on diaplay. After I paid Idealized that my bill was 25% more than I expected. Average food quality.

This is the vendor on the south side of Eastern Market, near the bakery. It's a convenient place to grab a couple of things I need, but it's more expensive. They don't give you an itemized receipt, and many products don't have prices on them.

I went there to get grocery and was pleasantly surprised that they sell masks and hand sanitizers which are hard to find since the coronavirus outbreak. I got two things while I stay home; foods and sanitizers.

Here we go again...SECRET KOREAN GROCERY! Ok, hidden in plain sight in Eastern Market. Authentic kimchee and pre-marinated beef Bulgogi sold here. The kimchee is either cabbage and cucumber, and comes in small (a little bigger than a deck of cards $3) or large (the size of a day planner, approx 8.5"x5" $6) Plus, the couple who runs the place is so nice and helpful, and super quick! Sometimes the lady gives me a sample of freshly made kimchee if she's cooking in the back which is mmm :) And the bulgogi ($6/lb I believe) is amazing. Foolproof, and an easy way to pretend that you're an impressive cook. These guys are the first produce section inside when you're coming to Eastern Market from the metro. They always have beautiful displays of a good selection of fruits and veggies (prices are a little on the steeper side in general, but that's Eastern Market for you). I usually swing by here if I need a last minute lemon/garlic/parsnip/leek/etc after work, but I usually shy away from it on weekends when it's packed. Also, veggies/fruits in season are reasonably priced here and better quality than what you would find at Harris Teeter or Safeway. They also have a mini-grocery with staples and sauces. If you have no car and can't get out to H mart or Wegman's, this place has a good selection of Asian cooking sauces. Lentils were $3/bag here though, so I would stay away from other cheap staples unless absolutely necessary. Tip: Make sure to bring your reusable bag so they don't charge that new DC bag tax (they're strict at this place). Yes, you will get a banana and be expected to either hold it or bring your own bag. Note: The sign may say Paik Produce, but it's officially Capital Hill produce...Yelp staff, please clean this up! Refer to
