OneLife Fitness Northwest has been the perfect fitness facility during my two month stay in DC. This location's General Manager, Brittany Wike, along with her very friendly staff (special shout out to Christian who helped me when I first arrived in town), made my temporary membership an easy process. Whenever I needed Brittany's assistance, she was at the ready to help and was always so very positive at every turn. She never argued with me, nor she did she say anything negative about how corporate handles membership issues. She was very professional, always helpful, and super welcoming. When my husband joined me this past week, she gave him a temporary gym pass so that he could work out with me at the current facility. We will definitely be back in DC for personal reasons, but we may be visiting again for business. Because Brittany has been so amazing, we will certainly return to OneLife Fitness. By that time, I believe they will be at their new location at Upton Place on Wisconsin Avenue. I look forward to seeing Brittany and her wonderful staff there. The customer service delivered at OneLife, from the folks at the front desk who always have a welcoming smile and greeting, to the cleaning staff who are so courteous to the members, and everyone in between - the trainers, the Zumba Instructors, etc. - was EXCELLENT! Ten outta Ten!Thank you Brittany!

Nice location I like it but unfortunately on the morning time I don’t know why they open at 6 AM. I hope they open at 5 AM. We can go and enjoy our early morning workout thank you.

They could do better but I hear that they are switching locations soon which is likely a reason that they haven't invested much into their current location. I'm hoping that they invest into their showers and locker room experience when the new location is ready to go. I think part of the current problem they are having is managing the old building and the obstacles that come along with it. The workers and people at the gym are friendly. My review would be higher if the air conditioning was consistent, the shower temperatures were consistent, the sauna was hotter without needing to cover the temp sensor, the float massage thing they have wasn't by the entrance, and there's not another cockroach in the showers. I've only seen one one time, but I used to live with them so I have a strong phobia of them just appearing, even if it is just 1% of the time. As you can see, a lot of these are "old building" things. Some advanced gym equipment such as palm coolers would easily help make the gym top notch once they switch locations. And more space and proper privacy with the showers. I like socializing but I also like full proper uncompromised privacy while I shower and having a wide bench to put my clothes on so that they don't fall onto the ground and get wet. I know these things might not bother most people, but at the end of a long workout, when I'm showering, I don't want to have to mess around with two sets of opaque shower curtains. I just want a door that fits well and a wider bench. Just my honest take.

**there is no kids club at this location**Don't do like me and just look through the pictures and assume there is one. Whoops. Other than that, this is a great gym! The employees at the front desk were so friendly, and everything was very clean.

Overall a good gym, new powerlifting facility and the equipment is generally well maintained as well. Staff are also very friendly and welcoming. My only knock on the gym is that it closes at 6pm on weekends. Seems very early especially since most people don't get off work until 6.

An overall great choice for any avid gym goer like me. They have a variety of machines for both aerobic training and weightlifting. Much of the equipment is not as modern as in some other places, but personally, it doesn't bother me in any way. Staff maintain the place clean, and it is an overall friendly community. The membership price is more affordable than other places in the area, which makes the place great value for what you pay. Definitely recommend giving a try if it you live or often drive nearby.

Onelife...the gym formerly known as Northwest Sport & Health...is a great place to work out. The staff are knowledgeable and friendly. You'll never feel like they don't have time for you. It's also obvious that the cleaning staff takes pride in their professional work, which makes a big difference.

People, people be AWARE! There is a thief in this gym. My daughter’s locker was broken in 2 x in 1 week. Thief used a lock cutter, either an employee or a regular member. The thief charged $106,95 , most likely $100 gift credit card + taxes. GM was not helpful at all and was very quick in dismissing employees… hmmm. Police will be involved this time!

Manager is rude. Not enough weight lifting equipment. Prices are outrageous. They accept too many people. 4 pm on a weekday and there is not enough space to even stand around.

While I have no complaints about the facilities or staff, please be warned that management employs very predatory billing tactics and will stop at nothing to take your money away from you (make sure to request copies of everything you sign on the spot, they'll say that they'll send you a copy later but never actually do, and definitely read everything carefully before signing as they'll try to rush you through the process and pressure you into making a bad decision, so definitely take your time!). They are not transparent at all with their contracts nor with what you've already paid for and appear to make things purposely confusing for the client as they're solely focused on financial gain with a total disregard for customer satisfaction, service, or basic human decency (capitalism at its finest). If you have the option, my advice would be to go elsewhere, especially since you're paying for it! You want to be leaving the gym feeling good about yourself and not like you've been ripped off and scammed, which unfortunately is the case at this establishment.

I've been trying to cancel my membership in writing for a year and a half and I'm still getting charged $42 every month. It's now added up to over $700. I've finally started disputing the recent charges, and plan to pursue further action over those that are to old to dispute from within my credit card app.

If I could give this place 0 stars, I would! Do not sign a contract with these people, the management is terrible. Specifically Roberto Arcos, he is a joke! And so is the member services. I lost my credit card back in June and forgot to add my recurring payments. I received an email at the end of June notifying me of an account change so I called and updated my card info. I was charged an additional $20 fee bc of it without warning, on top of that they “forgot” to enroll me in automatic payments with my new card and didn’t charge me for the month of July so I was then charged again an additional $20 fee. I froze my account for the month of august because I’m out of the country and the manager put in a request the day after I left the US to unfreeze my account without my approval. The gym is dirty, a week after signing up I received an email in which it stated people were collecting “bodily fluids” in the gym lockers. The management is extremely rude. The contract is a joke. I’m highly upset with this establishment and I suggest you find yourself another gym! The only good part about the gym is the classes, that’s it. And on top of that there is very little equipment.

Equipment is plentiful and in decent shape. But the place is dirty. Same layers of untouched dust, same balls of hair in the corners and on the equipment day in and day out. Showers are below average in cleanliness as well.Members and staff alike don’t bother wiping equipment after use or re-racking weights. There are weights all over the place.Needs a culture change which starts with staff and trickles down to the members.
