The One Medical App is incredibly straightforward and this location has the kindest staff and doctors. For the first time ever I'm on top of my healthcare, after falling behind due to navigating the bureaucratic nightmare of Kaiser Permanente.

Billing problems by OneMedical resulted in $800 lab bill. OneMedical has been unhelpful at best and downright malicious at worse. I went in for a fairly common infection in May of 2022 at the Adams Morgan location. OneMedical assigned me to get labwork done. I peed in a cup, OneMedical took it away, I went home. They sent me the results later, I got antibiotics, I'm done. Two months later, I got a bill for $800 from the third party company that did the labs. As it turned out -- OneMedical did not get the proper authorization from my insurance company for the labs they did. My insurance company told me that it's a fairly easy fix on my provider's side -- just contact the lab company and get retroactive authorization so that my insurance will cover it. HOWEVER -- I contacted OneMedical in July 2022 about this issue. Not only has the problem not been resolved, but they have been totally unresponsive to my inquiries about this problem through their app; have literally been unable to reach customer service over the phone OR have reached customer service representatives that knew absolutely nothing about my problem and did not offer followups like they promised. I'm totally at a loss right now. At literally every other medical practice I've been to, this would have been a simple fix. But despite at least ten calls to the customer service line, five emails to various inboxes (several unanswered or leading nowhere) and many, many messages to the admin team via the online portal, I am 1. totally in the dark about the status of the problem and 2. still on the hook for an $800 error that OneMedical made several months ago.I consider myself quite healthy and very tech-savvy; this is not a comment on the medical staff because that experience has been fine. But this experience with their billing and administrative team has been nothing short of maddening and I would HIGHLY recommend choosing an actual medical practice, not this fake customer service company parading as a medical practice. Take your dollars and your health to providers that actually care about you and try to rectify their mistakes in a timely manner and communicate with their customers.

I got a year-long membership to One Medical as part of my benefits package at work and came in this week to do my routine physical as required per starting the membership. I met with Dr. Genie and had a wonderful visit. Her bedside manner was super reassuring and she actually talked to me like I was a human and not a patient, which was really refreshing. We covered a lot of my worries and problem areas and we came up with a good action plan. I got labs drawn and the lab technician also had a great bedside manner and was super reassuring even after I told her that I often have a hard time getting blood drawn because they can't find my veins (she found blood on the first stick which hardly ever happens!) I should have my labs back in about a week and in the meantime I could message with the staff on the One Medical app with any questions I have

This place has a good business model but the service could be better. Waiting an hour to get lab work done.

Chris Saj and the team at One Medical in Adams Morgan are amazing. I'm so lucky to have found healthcare professionals that understand my needs.

I have a $900 bill from one medical and shouldn't. Please resubmit my claim to my insurance. I had insurance in Oct, but it continued with Cobra that month. I had the staff at one Medical confirm that insurance was active and covered my visit before visiting (i confirmed with my insurance it was active in Oct, possibly wasn't through the system when you summited the claim). Also, I tried to call one medical and was hung up on twice. After I was on hold, the system automatically disconnected me. Then I got in touch with a person and after telling him I had billing issues he hung up on me. It seems like there is no service where there are billing issues or problems. Really unacceptable.

Really great location and efficient, kind and upbeat staff. Particularly right now, many medical facilities are struggling with elongated wait times and the difficulties of implementing new entrance, exit, and sanitation procedures. One Medical’s was very clearly marked with instruction and the process was seamless. Would VERY HIGHLY recommend.

One Medical may have been "concierge medicine" once - but no more. Since I rejoined a few months ago, with an upfront membership fee of $200, I've experienced difficulty finding COVID testing within a week, had two testing appointments cancelled with little notice, interacted with a rude agent over the phone, and had open inquiries on their app left to languish for days. This year has been rough on all of us, but it's clear that One Medical hasn't done enough to pivot their service or work with their customers to provide the service they advertise.

OneMedical used to be pretty good and easy to use. Now, while other medical organizations are doubling their efforts to provide good care during the pandemic, OneMedical uses it as an excuse to cut services and save money. Customer service is completely unreachable and non-existent. Need a Covid test? You can make an appointment for two weeks from now....Is this the enhanced medical service I pay a premium for? There is also absolutely no continuity of care. I never feel that MDs, PAs or NPs ever look at a file before they see their patient. I have to regurgitate my medical history each time I talk to anyone there. Definitely a sub-par medical practice.

I've never been more disappointed in a medical service. I received a message on that app from a physician's assistant, Kelly, that I needed to come in for follow up blood work: "I will put a lab order in for you. Our Adams Morgan lab is open from 9-6 with a break for lunch from 12:30-1:30." I arrived at 5:05pm and was told that they closed at 5. When I explained that I was told to come in today before 6, the receptionist offered me that I can look on the website and see that they closed at 5. If your own medical staff send me instructions about your hours, why would I need to also check your website? I've generally found OneMedical to be worth the $199 investment but this is the kind of poor medical customer service that the practice was supposed to avoid. Incredibly unfortunate.

I really enjoy One Medical and the approach towards medicine that they take. There is a concierge fee that isn't covered by insurance, but it is well worth it. UPDATE: They are now accepting Blue Cross again if that is your insurance provider. First, when you go into the waiting room, it's never packed and feels more like a comfy living room featuring complimentary wifi and lemon water. You won't be in the waiting room for long, because your appointment will start on time, and the doctor will be in immediately instead of having you sit in the exam room indefinitely. Because they are timely, if you are late for your appointment you likely won't be seen, so try to make sure you get in on time. The doctors are always pleasant, and listen to you and what you need. You can use the app to schedule appointments, message your doctors at any time, and use the video visit function for when you don't want to head into the office in person. Another convenient feature is the evening appointments, instead of having to go to urgent care, you can often get same day appointments at one of the locations until 9PM. Which saves on copays and it's nice seeing your primary care doctor and having all your records in one place. I love this medical practice and can't imagine going back to a regular provider.

Today - because Summer had reminded me during my last visit - my wife and I stopped by to get our flu shots. There was no wait, one refilled bottle of water and a % pleasant and efficient check in experience (Lorraine and Antonio for the win- thanks y'all). In the expert hands of Megan who was holding down the lab today, my flu shot was over in about 1/18th of the time it takes to get an (admittedly delicious) tea at philz next door. I didn't feel a thing, other than happy to have - for once- gotten a flu shot in a timely manner.
