Great staff, esp at desk and the hard-working housekeepers. Always gracious, customer-focused. Clean, new machines. Only problem is the weight machines only heavy ones, none for lightweight.

As a long-time member of this and its predecessor club, I think it's much improved with the new (old) location, new equipment, and mostly new staff. Staff is very friendly, helpful, and professional. I like the diversity of the membership, and the unpretentious, laid-back, friendly atmosphere.

All in all, the new location is clearly a step down from the former Connecticut Avenue location. I have the same trainer and he is the best part about the club. The areas are darker and the glaring bright lights above simply get in your eyes as you are using the machines. The machines in my opinion are not well placed. And despite being new, it gives the impression of being a bit dingy. The reception staff is extremely courteous and helpful. There are a few examples where there are fewer machines or spaces. There are absolutely no chairs to sit in, when, waiting for someone. Simply a hard wooden bench at the window, either in the sun, or in the cold, depending on the weather. Chandra is the best!! She's very energetic and so much fun! The soundtrack is good. She choose music from around the world. I love her class!

This location is a downgrade from the DuPont north location that closed. Machines and benches/pulleys are on separate floors with not enough space between them. That means that when the minimal benches are full you’re forced to go to another floor to use the machines. The old location provided a mix of machines and free weights on floors so that you could continue to work out while you wait.There is a ton of dead space that for some reason is where the group classes take place and is rarely used. Meanwhile the rest of the gym is cramped together. Not to mention the locker room fixtures that look somehow worse than anything you’ll ever buy at IKEA.The staff is fine. An extra star for that. I’m a founding member and got a cheap price locked in. If you’re a new member save your time/money/effort and join a different gym.

Would absolutely NOT recommend this gym. Despite cancelling my membership with them in person, and receiving confirmation via email, they continued to bill membership fees me for months after cancellation. After noticing charges, I had my bank block the merchant on my account.Management indicated that I would receive a refund, but 6 months later I have yet to receive it. Overall, incredibly unprofessional conduct, poor communications, and fraudulent billing practices. Will be reporting to the BBB.
