I’ve been coming here for the past two years, and the main reason I keep returning is Jenny. She is absolutely amazing—professional, kind, and always goes above and beyond to make sure I feel comfortable and well taken care of. Jenny takes the time to explain everything clearly and makes each visit smooth and stress-free. She is truly the heart of this office, and I can’t imagine going anywhere else because of the exceptional care she provides.

TLDR: purchase online.
I came for an eye exam and some new glasses last week & while the doctor was nice enough, I found the staff pretty condescending. I also witnessed their service of an elderly woman & it was, let’s say, lackluster…poor lady.
I was also expecting, based their estimate, for it to arrive yesterday, & I heard nothing. I decided to call them to investigate & again their tone was quite dismissive & condescending. The way they kept repeating themselves, as if I was hearing impaired or not able to process her words. They seem to lack empathy or compassion.
I only came here because it’s what my insurance accepts & I still paid over $300, with the insurance included. Apparently their base models retail for nearly a grand.
All this to say, don’t waste you time, purchase your glasses online!

10 out 10 — highly recommend. I have been getting glasses from My Eye Dr for the past three years and if you need someone to give you the perfect look, ask for my girl, Jenny. I get so many compliments on my glasses and she styles me every year. Tell her Ms. Oliver sent you! (DC location on Wisconsin)

Really easy to be seen here - good appointment availability, minimal paperwork, and the office is communicative about what your insurance covers. The front office associates, especially Jenny, have always been helpful when picking out frames, and Jenny even fixed a past pair for me that was missing a screw when I came in for my annual appointment.
Only downside of this place is that I have found that having your new prescription placed in past frames - even if you bought the previous year’s frames there - can be pretty expensive, since that isn’t usually included in an annual visit / once yearly frames.
Otherwise, staff are warm and patient and I’ve had a positive experience with multiple providers located here. Highly recommend.

Dr.Dearing and Jenny Carrianna are some of the best people at My EyeDoctor! They make the experience so great! They are friendly and welcoming and make every appointment a joy!!!! They are so good in fact that detected a normality within my eye, which saved my life and allowed me to get treatment fast enough!!!!!!

I’ve been coming to the Cathedral Commons location for 3 years now and my experiences keep getting better. As an eyeglass wearer, I appreciate the rotating variety of selections available on site. Great sunglasses too! But the real gem of this location are the people. Dr. Dearing and Jenny are especially wonderful, and have been on top of my vision needs from day one. And while I wish I had better prescription eyeglass coverage, My Eye Doctor’s competitive pricing makes getting outfitted within reach. Highly recommend!!

Excellent care. Knowledgable doctor. Rx glasses done right the first time, every time. Very kind about making adjustments if needed anytime, months later. e.g. tighten fit. Highly recommend.
