I am so sorry for confusion. This branch actually always meet my expectations and beyond. Their staff and manager the most helpful and professional you will always meet. My initial negative review meant for Chevy chase branch not this branch. I apologized for confusion.

Free notary! We were greeted on arrival, didn't have an appointment, and were seen in less than five minutes. The representative was courteous, quick, and knowledgeable. Thank you for the great experience!

This bank has its garbage cans full and the manager there does not do anything, the garbage is blown everywhere by the wind and when you say something to them they get angry and say they are not responsible for it but their container has their name

Past couple of years they have a great team of employees. Friendly environment and does feel like a neighborhood bank which is a hard to find in DC. I can say that since native Washingtonian as well as life long Woodley Park resident. Job well done.

I've banked with M&T for years without an issue. Today I worked with Melat who was exceptionally kind, patient, and helpful. It was an impressive commitment to customer service and I will definitely be working with her in the future.

My wife went in to ask where the subway elevator was, and the minute the employee realized she was not a customer she became very rude and mean.

My card is rejected at business and I cannot log-in online figure out the problem. I call to find out what's going on because there are funds. The mobile banking number tells me they are busy and to use online, then says "good-bye" and disconnects. I call branch. The only help they can offer is contacting the mobile banking number. So, yeah. I'm done with this bank. (Side note: last year my branch decided to remove the deposit slips and force you to ask for one. Presumably this was to create some type of warm fuzzies with the CSR interaction . It was time consuming and annoying.)

Two thumbs up. Consistent customer service. Also, for business accounts they know who you are! Getting change is quick and easy. And no matter who you are there is an ATM that allows you to deposit bulk cash and checks. I hate deposit slips, so I'm glad I haven't had to fill one out in years.

Great location; consistently terrible customer service. Basically, if you want a slow bank, with terrible hours (daily closing at 5pm with Saturday is 1pm and closed Sunday's) with tellers who always kind of look at you confused, and greet you with a hostile "do you have an account here" before anything else, then this is your bank.

Great location; consistently terrible customer service. I went in to cash savings bonds and I got a new teller who took close to (possible more than) 30 minutes to cash four savings bonds. Then I was not asked if I wanted to deposit or cash, so they just assumed cash (nope - deposit!). I also recently tried to get a car loan quotes from here and they said they'd call me with info within 24 hrs and never got a call. Went with USAA. Earlier this week I deposited some checks and the receipt didn't print. I went inside to report that there was an issue with the ATM (so that others didn't experience this problem) and was first asked in a hostile tone whether I have an account (as is the usual greeting at this branch) and then was told the guy with the ATM key was out to lunch and I could come back when he's done with his lunch in half an hour. I asked if they'd be putting up a sign that receipts are not printing and was told I was the first one to report the issue today, and no one else reported problems (so... I guess that's a no). Side note - I received a voicemail close to an hour later letting me know they looked at the ATM and there's no problem and they don't know where my receipt is. Basically, if you want a slow bank, with terrible hours (daily closing at 5pm but Saturday is 1pm and closed Sunday's) with tellers who always kind of look at you confused, and greet you with a hostile "do you have an account here" - then this is your bank. Its a shame my hometown branch is so much nicer and more welcoming. With the convenience of mobile banking nowadays, I will be switching!

Two forms of ID's weren't sufficient to cash a state (Maryland) issued check. I bet if I were a white man, not a black man (who happens to be a lawyer), there will not be a need to call Maryland's Comptroller (on Saturday) to verify the check was authentic, not forged. Unprofessional, unethical and racist dealings at this location. I will be following up with corporate.

Like the other reviews, the customer service here is horrible. I needed to be added to a business account. Both of my partners and I came in to sign documents and our rep basically did nothing but try and sell us services we didn't need. While doing that she obviously forgot to have us all sign a form we needed, so a week later when I don't have my card, I call in and she tells me we need to sign it. I'm annoyed she didn't have us do it when we were all there and that she didn't contact me about it, I had to track her down. I live an hour away from the bank so this was a massive inconvenience. The rep, knowing she messed up, offer to drop the paperwork off since she lives near me in VA. We were set to meet at 3:30 but I get a call at 3:26 saying she will be 30 minutes late! I left another meeting to be there on time and she could have let me more than 4 minutes ahead of time. What is worse is that she gets mad at me when I request her to leave it for me to sign as if I did something wrong. She acted like she was doing me a favor when in reality she had already messed up by not having us sign the form in the first place and then missing our appointment. I'm requesting a transfer before I decide whether or not to leave M&T completely.
